Besides stop buying anything from them, how do we stop Lord Bezos from dominating the world?
How do we stop pic related?

unironically this
I don't want to stop Amazon I just want them to be responsible for preventing the collapse of small businesses and the culture that comes along with that. They have more than enough money coming in to pay some kind of "small business protection" tax. I like being able to order shit off Amazon for typically the lowest or close to lowest available price and get it at my door 1-2 days later. It's a great service. I just don't want my local book store to be gone because I like visiting there from time to time and sifting through the books. I don't want my local electronics store to disappear because sometimes I just need a fucking cable right fucking now. I don't want my local grocery store to disappear because I like strolling through the aisles reading the packages. Both entities should be able to exist, and since most people are too stupid to realize the detriment of their choices until it's too late, I think the government should be held responsible for figuring out how to make this happen.
There is only one man who can stop this behemoth.
>actually enjoying grocery shopping
cringe
You can't have your cake and eat it. Amazon is going to kill these businesses and jobs are about to go with them.
Amazon's weakness is the same as Walmart's (which is in decline), they sell everything at the lowest price possible and make minimim profit. Walmart is having trouble competing with Amazon because it has stores/associates to pay for alongside the warehousing/logistics. To beat Amazon you'd have to have a store that offers everything at a low price that has reduced/or removed warehousing costs/delivery. A cooperatively operated smart contract network offering goods and services with all corporate costs removed could take out Amazon.
It depends on when I'm going and how much I need to get, honestly. But sometimes it's nice to go and just clear my head for a little... get out of the house and get a break. Sometimes I do really not want to go at all, those are usually the times that I absolutely have to because there's no food in the house.
I agree with you that's what's going to happen but I DON'T agree that there can't exist a system where this doesn't happen. We're just too reactionary as a society and by the time people realize what they've done it'll be too late. Give it a couple more generations after that and things will turn around again. Most trends are cyclical.
Casting out devils by the prince of devils? Pharisees please go.
>implying Musk wouldn't just defeat Bezos then upload himself to the internet and become a guardian of mankind

Walmart and Amazon ain't going anywhere. Both are two entrenched in our lives for them to fail. Walmart - What else has stores pretty much everywhere that carries a wide assortment of goods so instead of paying that $20 dollar shipping fee for that new TV as you would from Amazon, get it local and save some green. Plus the automotive, pharmacy, other in store services.
Amazon - order pretty much anything online, except guns, houses, property, and drugs. Then you got the data center side which is generating profits by the ton.
(I'm a WMT stockholder) (would own Amzn stock but to costly)
>How do we stop pic related?
By unionizing their workers.
The problem I have with Amazon is them fucking over other companies and brands in a mission for complete dominance and control: recode.net
Sounds like they're trying to do away with market sellers / independent companies altogether, and just force everyone to sell to Amazon, and only Amazon delivers.
Of course you'll have to sell to them at wholesale price, or they straight up just delete you, reviews, everything, within 30 days notice..
This
Why? AMZ does a much better job than USA anytime.
I surely LOVE my Kindle.
amazon is irrelevant.
It sells crapplastic that are going to be landfill in a few years.
money is in govt stuff like paying for health and edu or
in realestate.
amazon is what not even 1T
we are talking 100's of T
amazon could what give everyone in the world 10 bucks and be bankrupt.
>true capitalism doesn't have monopolies
>government literally has to step in and break up the monopolies to keep this fake ass system going.
Regulation institutions will split the company in multiple companies or jeff will exit scam
>being a commie

In 30 years, everyone will be bitching about another company taking over everything
I lost brain cells reading this stupid shit
Would the US gov ever break up Amazon? They did it to Standard Oil.
Either people will have to grow a collective conscience or the government will have to start enforcing anti-trust laws.
So nothing.
They can try but when you realise they would be going against pic related, would they really try? Would you, user? Yeah, I thought so
You do literally nothing. Anti-trust laws kick in soon.
...
I have already switched.
BUY BITCOIN
You mean jobs are going to go and be created with them
Let Amazon destroy big box stores like guitar center and best buy and then then small business could come in and pick up the slack. I'd prefer to have one giant behemoth for all the plastic shit and then local businesses fod stuff that;s more personal
and you got smarter
ITT brainlets who think the amazon store is the problem. AWS is way scarier
Fpbp. Besides why would you want to? Amazon delivers my groceries ffs.
what do you mean by true capitalism doesn't have monopolies
Yeah, this. I can't help but be extremely skeptical of AWS and what the future looks like in a world where everyone is locked into AWS. Every time I bring this up at work literally no one cares.
Step 1: get out of moms basement
shipping of items bought on the internet should be more heavily taxed than it is
>jobs are about to go with them.
any jobs that can be destroyed by the expansion of business or technology deserve to be destroyed
this will unironically collapse amazon, good idea
Wage cage enforcer
Well if online merchant taxes are higher, they'll just pass on these taxes to the customers.
Before amazon, i couldn't get shit IRL. No rare books, no electronics.
However, i agree that amazon wagies must be paid higher and have toilets available in warehouses.
its not the only cloud hosting service out there brainlet
>I just don't want my local book store to be gone because I like visiting there from time to time and sifting through the books.
I never could get shit in local book store. Every book a little rare isn't available, or even available on order.
>I don't want my local electronics store to disappear because sometimes I just need a fucking cable right fucking now.
Same for electronics, i just couldn't get shit. Must do 3-4 different electronic shop to find the item you need.
Best thing would be in a decade amazon super fast shipping everywhere in the country.
Like drones of different size constantly shipping. Big ones for bulk transportation, small ones for the rest of the trip to the final destination.
Capitalism. If small business has something to offer, it will remain. Otherwise, it does not offer enough to justify itself.
a dollar collapse would help
i just asked alexa. she said its too late now :(
Used their service in '99 for a book that never arrived, since then never again. Fuck amazon
Europe and Asia will tax USA goods.
