I’m rushing this semester and want to know you thoughts
Are fraternities Jow Forums approved?
Kappa sigma
networking
was looking at kappa sig as I know a lot of guys in it but they’re dumb as all fuck and I have no connection to them. If I go with a dumb fraternity I’ll pledge KA since I’m a legacy, but that’s not really the plan either
my thoughts as well user
>paying for friends
lmao
Of course they are. Frats are the only way to make meaningful business connections.
>paying for friends
It’s like $750-1500 a semester, what are you fucking poor?
>thinking people who browse Jow Forums have the social skills to network at fraternities
you bought LINK didnt you
pathetic
t. played varsity football at a mid sized state school and never needed to pay for friends or chicks lmao
>played varsity football
>at a mid sized state school
Your team probably sucked, and your girls were probably ugly.
You never know user, this and Jow Forums would be the boards I’d most likely think to see people who know this subject
frats are a literal hivemind of caustious anxiety. everyone is afraid to deviate far from the frat stereotypes out of fear of being ostracized by their peers. they dress the same, talk the same, like the same things. i was in a frat for 2 years before leaving. find some real friends instead OP
No college is a scam
Why do gurls always wear glasses in a trendy manner that looks retarded? In this picture its hippy-redux style. Before it was giant bug-eyes style. Is it to divert from some sort of innate uglyness? It doesnt help.
I’m here on scholarship, but otherwise I’d agree.
Just a weird trend dude. I know these girls and they’re the definition of basic bitch sorority girls, so
Good insight user - where did you pledge?
>I’m here on scholarship
And not for a meme degree, to clarify. I’m using this time to scale my own software and hopefully run that full time by the time I graduate
It's to cover their eyes. The less of their face that they show, the more attractive they are perceived to be since attractiveness is usually overestimated by the male imagination.
Some fraternities are Jow Forums approved others are a waste of time. Learn discernment in college, user.
Yes, but join one of the top fraternities in your school. I had connections to bank and railroad executives through mine. Ended up doing an internship at BNSF which I still work at and several of my brothers are bankers now.
>3000 dollaroos per year to get access to pay for an attempt to get access to low-life whores and socialize with 70-IQ fratbros
could have just thrown that money in the sea user
If you go to FSU then I'm sure you have a pretty good idea If you can get in. You gotta be an ultra Chad but in the end you'll probably have a more fun college experience
>Pays $3000 a semester for high school 2.0
>Look at me I'm rich
Fucking lol
>You gotta be an ultra Chad
>at fsu
lol no you most definitely do not
You're such a fucking faggot, op. Stop fucking posting these threads on different board. Let me guess, Kappa Alpha, FSU software engineering major, legacy admit? If you're going to rush, do it and shut the fuck up.
Mostly only had female friends in college freshman year. I’m not good at making friends but good looking so girls always would talk to me. Two of the girls in my hall convinced me to rush. Hated pretty much everyone, found one frat with ridiculous parties and at the time decided that was probably my best bet. They hazed a lot during pledging, pledging was silly. I did shit I knew I really shouldn’t put up with but once you get so deep in and you watch other guys pussy out there are always guys in the frat who will be like “listen we know this sucks and it’s bullshit, but we all went through it and so you guys have to go through it if you ever want to be accepted”. It’s kind of brain washing but also it’s true. Who wants to accept someone who doesn’t understand what they went through? Who got off easier?
I went to a school where the social life revolved completely around the fraternities. Ultimately the one guy friend I had made before pledging was always hitting me up to help him get into parties because he didn’t join any frat.
It was very easy for me to meet girls, I partied a lot and I made some good friends a few of which I still talk to despite me being pretty antisocial.
That being said, I don’t recommend it. I grew to realize most of my “brothers” were actually stereotypical frat bro pieces of shit and so I mostly avoided them. I spent time with people who had a greater focus on getting drunk and laid than figuring out who they were and working towards something meaningful. It got so monotonous and boring by my senior year that I decided to play world of Warcraft and got addicted. At the time I had a very cool and weird girlfriend who was helping me identify more about who I was. We started fighting a lot over WoW and I realized I was depressed so I got medicated. Depression medication makes you literally give no fucks, so it didn’t change what I was doing but when we would fight I would sometimes start laughing.
Fast forward she obviously dumped me. Probably the single most interesting and intelligent person I met in school and she doesn’t even talk to me anymore. I got my shit together after graduating and I think she saw through some social media and tried to reach out to me but the way she broke up with me was wack and I was still young and dumb and angry at her and treated her poorly. I should have been angry at myself.
Anyway, I think you should carve your own path and a frat won’t help you do that. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, find people who make you think about the world in different ways instead of those who you already see eye to eye with. Seek personal growth. That’s my advice.

Well, you are good looking, you could be sucessfull anyway.
I know what I'm talking about, majority of frat guys who are average just end banging once in a while some really drunk girl who is almost passing out.
Just sell drugs instead, get paid to make friends
I am successful enough. I just know the way I spent my college years led to missed opportunities. I’m not talking about financial. It took me a much longer time than it should have to figure out who I really was, and a lot of the things I would have liked to have done I now have no time for. In college you have 4 years with really nothing else to do other than explore yourself. If you don’t take advantage of that you likely won’t get that chance again.
