Lol I'm sitting here at my new job orientation right now. I didn't prepare for the interview and probably only got like 75% of the knowledge assessment questions correct. Personal charm and knowing the right people goes a long way.

Why aren't you applying for more jobs, though? 20 in 2 months isn't very much. I did nearly 20 week on average, and around 200 in total before I got an offer.

I'm starting to feel like I have been lucky in finding jobs. I've never been fired and I have only ever quit a job for a better one. When I do feel like its time to see whats out there job wise I do maybe a max of 10 places a week and within that week I find a job. My resume isn't that great but I have always been told after interviews that I seem passionate, knowledgeable, and interview well. Which is funny because I'm an autist and get super anxious during interviews. Fake it til you make it I guess.

If its not a tech job, you're better off going with an americanized name. A lebanese friend of mine goes by Abe and checks white on all forms. Hes had good luck finding jobs compared to his birth name.

This guy is probably right. I'm guessing you're not looking across the country or anything and that's why you would've applied for so few positions, but yeah you've just gotta spam a bit.
I don't know where you live or what exactly your field is but I wouldn't assume it's due to an ethnic name. If you really think it is then try to get hired at places that brag about diversity.

It took me 300 applications and 7 in person interviews to land a job with 0 experience fresh out of school and I’m what you lot would consider a chad. Autists are doomed unless you have some fancy projects to show your manager in a field that doesn’t require much social interaction.
