Actually it is a bull market which will purge the shitcoins. While all coins drop, the top 10,20,50,100 all stays roughly the same, just everything falls in value together.
Coins are only pushed out of top spots when they are replaced by something else rising higher in the ranks.

It spiked so much because it was supposed to release products that would make them a direct competitor with Monero and PIVX, but they over promised and under delivered multiple times. If they wold have delivered on schedule, I honestly think that it would still be in top 20.
