don't know if you're serious or troll, but seriously it was no joke the first book I took with me everywhere and read it 24/7 until finished, hated reading before that but that's what got me into reading first
also to add, I used to read only manga before that, so same situation
Same honestly. I read so much fantasy books in middle school and nothing in high school, but I got a 34 on the reading part of the act. Thanks Harry!
1984 by Orwell and Brave New World is the only education about the world today one needs. Those and Neuromancer.
I'm gonna have to drop a + on Meditations, if the cucumber is bitter don't fucking eat it
American Psycho
Only time I ever fapped to reading
Got me interested in M&A
How the hell did 1984 influence you?
In random order
1. Shoe dog - Phil Knight, biography about the Nike founder. Just a great book.
2. Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as if your life depends on it - Chris Voss. It's not only good for negotiating but also for communication tactics. It all makes so much sense, life changing for me.
If anyone has more good books about communicating and understanding people please tell me.
I am authistic. I don't just read books, I reread books, until i memorize them. Any advice?
>1984
when movie remake?
Also, the power of habit is pretty intersting if you want to understand habits more. Since you are basically a product of all your habits. It is very interesting to learn and know how to alter them for the better.
You can try audio and hope ur autistic thing isn't there.
Upanishads
Autobiography of a yogi
Mystic Musings
Tao Te Ching
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
Aghora series
Op here, just thought, would you want me to create these /educational/ threads consistently? Not sure what format I'd be but something like once a week (depends) I drop a book you've recommended and we'll discuss it, or create a list of books mentions (example previous month) or thread focused on certain type of books (negotiating, personal growth etc.) and we can talk about it from different perspectives. I've been making these for past month just to get some reading tips and surprisingly enough, people seemed to recommend a lot of good stuff
I read it around 2003 at which point I was already old enough to remember the world before 2001. I practically saw the book coming to life before my eyes
Fuck the remakes and read the book if you haven't
seems fun, have made some threads recently too. Really getting in to this stuff (mostly audio tho).
Search Inside Yourself
The Mindful Path Through Shyness
Mind Over Mood
The Paradox of Intention
K I'll try get this stuff going if anons contribute. Tried audio and it works for me only with stories, no knowledge stuff, as English is not my first language my brain translates technical/knowledge first and then processes it but with stories I can imagine whole picture and it's easy for my brain to digest it
