I saw some dumb boomer fucks in college park, not even downtown, trying to rent their on premises 400sqft mother-in-law suite for $1300/mo. It included water and electricity, which can't be more than $150 combined even in the summer.
I still rent unfortunately but at least my boomer landlord has never raised my rent and "doesn't plan to". $950 for a 900sqft 2/1 apt close to everything downtown.
