If you want to stake using linkpool any time close to mainnet, best get yourself an LP share or 2, or you may be waiting a while to stake
Linkpoolio public staking update
>1200 doll hairs for 1 LP
Fuck you kike. Not gonna happen.
It's actually $2742.48 for 1 LP
The order book doesn't allow limit orders
kek
that is pretty...pretty...pretty... funny.
brainlet here... what is 1LP? is it equal to the 0.2 ETH minimum buy in during the crowdsale?
1 LP = 1/1000th of the non-jonny shares available
1LP = 1 ETH at crowdsale
why are you saying buy 1 or 2 LP then? for priority staking you need to be a crowdsale participant, sure, but i don't recall reading anything that indicated that the amount of link you could stake or the time at which you could stake was impacted by the quantity of LP shares.
>The order book doesn't allow limit orders
Wat
Fucking scam
1 ETH was also $800 at crowdsale opening
staking will be open to share holders first, and staking amount for shareholders will be proportional to LP shares you hold
not saying get specifically 1 or 2, just saying get some if you want to be staking on LP any time close to go live. As per pic related, non share holders will have some months to wait
It's not a scam it's because it's all done through Ethereum and fees would be too high if they implemented a feature complete DEX
No liquidity and only heebs are selling at outrageous prices.
I disagree with OP. I think most people with their 10K or less stack will be fine staking with a fraction of a LP. People staking 100K will most likely need at least 1 LP.
damn, any reference to back that claim? genuinely not trying to fud, i'm a small linkpool holder myself, if that's true i would consider buying additional LP shares rather than more link.
LP Telegram. Scroll back through Jonny comments, or ask the question
ETH was ~$800 at crowdsale, prices now are around 12ETH/LP. Is it outrageous, i dunno, you do the math
LP is currently low volume and at ATH
LINK is currently high volume and below ATH
LP relies on LINK
LINK doesn't rely on LP
staking is an opportunity to earn and hold more LINK while the price is low
you know that 350mm LINK put aside for node rewards... you want some of that before moon
>not saying get specifically 1 or 2, just saying get some if you want to be staking on LP any time close to go live
Hey, man, I'm not fudding linkpool just saying right now accumulating more LINK is an obviously better buy. That 350mm LINK will net you maybe 100 LINK per year per LP. Meanwhile, you can currently buy 6532.43 LINK per LP giving you over 65 years of staking assuming staking rewards stay linear (they won't).
kek you guys are mirroring the conversation i had in my head during the crowdsale, and honestly you both have valid points. personally i chose to allocate a relatively small amount of eth to LP shares, mainly because i was conscious of getting priority staking rights but also because i was hesitant to double-down and speculate on top of speculating on chainlink's success. it still seems kind of early to speculate on what staking rewards will look like but regardless of the play i hope our interest in decentralized oracles pays off bigtime, cya on the yacht
haha, I know, been on both sides too
I'm at 80K LINK: 4 LP hopefully i can stake half at least in the early days. I think Jonny has drastically underestimated rewards, for good reason.
will be interesting times, but we will all make it fren, see you on the yacht
So if I have say 0.1 LP shares, does that still give me proportional access to staking and the fee rewards from linkpool? Like if 1 LP lets you stake 10,000 link, I could stake max 1000 link? Or do you need at least 1 LP to stake at all
LINKCONNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECT
Bump.
Damn Jonny got a new photo. Looks like he turned into Chad since joining Chainlink.
>mfw I tripled down and bought up a bunch of link domains in anticipation of links success
Who else been holding link for over a year now? 1 year 3 months here.
I'm also an LP mini-whale with .04 shares. I'm considering selling 1k link for LP, but I'll also run an AWS node so idk if it's worth it
