Are uni jumpers basically "subtle" flexing for smart people?
Are uni jumpers basically "subtle" flexing for smart people?
if you need to "flex" on people by making them think that you're smart and you feel like you're accomplishing this with a uni jumper, you are unironically a huge fag and need to reassess your life
No, it's more like wearing your favorite team's jersey.
my favorite
>wearing a uni jacket from a school you don't attend
/Fpbp
I remember once wearing a generic "OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY" or something like that hoodie here in Yurop I bought from some second hand store and some American tourist stopped me on the street "Oh you from Ohio too?"
funny if you wear a random state university people just smile at your school spirit
but if you wear an elite university people think you're just showing off. you're not allowed to be proud of it.
it's kind of like black pride vs white pride
people who wear hoodies should be shot on sight
Another case of "user makes up social stigmas in his head to feel victimized"
As an Aggie, I just love the maroon and design of most of our merch. Although, I'll never understand shirts with two chest pockets or super thin "jackets".
I go to an elite uni and that's a very real thing... lots of people get very insecure once they find out
Why? Hoodie is practical and ther are a large selection of them in almost every store.
Please tell me how someone going to an elite university makes people insecure? If I see someone and we end up talking and they happen to wear a Harvard sweater, I'll ask them, did you go to harvard? Whats harvard like? Etc. I don't become insecure about myself and I doubt anyone does. It's all in your head. I bet you think your "massive intellect" intimidates people once they learn you went to an elite school. You're a huge fag dude.
i dropped out of the uni i went to a couple years ago, and have been a neet since then. i like to wear my uni hoodie a lot whenever i go in public cuz i hope the normies think ruins the “prestige” of the uni they went to
Same guy on 3g so ip may change
Fucking lol. the biggest giveaway by far is that people will suddenly bring up unrelated accomplishments/try to show off as soon as they find out. A lot of people also become passive aggressive. Another giveaway is people assuming you came from a posh family to cope. If you ever get to an elite uni, get lots of money (I made 250k from BTC at one point and had the exact same thing) or do anything else impressive you'd know cause of how annoying all the insecurity is.
It's very real and very annoying in the Uk. My impression of the jumpers is that they're flexing but curious to see what other anons think.
the harvard uni jumper is like driving a lambo.. makes you look like a douche bag
you're a child. Grow up. It's all in your head.
Same guy
Right... Actually go to a good uni/get lots of money/do a prestigious job and then tell me it's not real. My friends who came from normal backgrounds have experienced the same thing
So you have people randomly approach you in the street and tell you "oh-oh yeah well i went to x university'" because they are so concerned with being comparable to you? When you meet someone and they claim that they are a doctor do you immediately tell him, "Yeah well I made 250k off bitcoin and went to an elite school and have a prestigious job too" ?
Some people maybe will feel the need to do that but those people are losers, the fact you think everyone is a loser makes you one too.
>butthurt, the post
Going to a prestigious uni is a sign of being superior. Deal with it.
and it finally comes out, this belief is why you're nervous about wearing a fucking hoodie, i just wanted you to post this
