I put up an ad online to sell my car for 226 USD...

I put up an ad online to sell my car for 226 USD. One guy said he wanted to pay 169 USD and that he could send it before coming to get the car. I declined and said it's better if he pays when we meet thinking others might want to pay more. Then another person wanted to come look at the car but didn't say anything about what he wants to pay. I said I can't meet until Saturday. He told me to call him again on Saturday and ask if he's still interested. How should I go about this? Maybe I should have accepted the money from the first guy? Do I meet the second guy first? What if he wants to pay the same amount?

even a dogshit care doesn't go for under $1000 here. if it runs and is safe to go on the road its $1000.

First off, round those numbers up or down what the fuck?
Go up to 190

My car needs repairs to pass the inspection. Can someone please answer the topic?

It's 2000 and 1500 in my currency. Just posting in USD because this is an international board.

yeah, fuck off you piece of shit poor fag.

Just cut the catalytic converters off and sell the precious metal out of it and crush the rest.
You will get more than 226usd that way.

Call the scrap to see how much they give you. Probably more then you ask for

meet the guy on saturday

1)Meet both at same time
2)bidding war
3)profit

But if he (the second guy) wants to pay the same amount as the first guy it's kind of unfair to the first guy to sell it to the second. But then if I don't sell it to the second the first might change his mind unless he pays beforehand which he offered to do. But also, the first wanted to pay a lower price than I put in the ad so who cares about him.

Really? Also the first guy offered to pay through a money transfer service where he sees my phone number and I specifically bought a burner phone to not give away my number. But I guess I could put the sim card over in my smart phone... But then I'd have to put my ordinary sim card in the burner and I learned today it's so bad you can't use it for talking but only for texting. But the buyer will know my home address regardless, because it's in my vehicle registration. I'm worried about crazies. FUCK so many problems, this is why I should just have scrapped the car.

Also, then should one at a time test drive? One would have to wait while the other was test driving. The second guy was coming with the guy he was buying it for. It's a small car and all 4 of us in the car I think is too much.

Holy shit OP it isn't that hard.
First guy is probably scamming you and the second guy is wasting your time. What fuck tells the seller to call him to see if he is still interested? one who isn't interested in the car most likely a flipper who will low ball you in the end

>What fuck tells the seller to call him to see if he is still interested?
I think that's what he said but I'm not sure because of the shit sound on the burner phone due to shit reception most likely. Plus I have bad memory.

You're essentially selling it for the price of it's scrap metal. You realize that right?

if you want 226 for it then post 250-275 in your ad. you probably aren't going to meet anyone on craigslist who won't try to bring you down some. let them talk you down to 226 but no lower. fuck that guy offering you 169.

I could drive around and ask scrap yards but the problem is I was too late due to being busy+lazy I guess so now there's only a few days before a driving ban is put on the car. I guess I could try calling scrap yards and describing the car to them. I bought the car for 677 USD two years ago but then it had passed the inspection plus it included aluminum rims. I'm not including those, was thinking I'd sell them separately or perhaps save them until I've bought a new car to see if they fit and if they don't then sell them, the reason is I payed 372 USD for the summer tires that are mounted on them and they're still in quite good condition I think although I'm not an expert. I was thinking about maybe offering the buyer of the car to buy the aluminum rims with summer tires separately but the problem is they're at my work. Not sure if I should or if I should wait until I have the new car.

Tldr

Yards will pick it up from you, lowest i ever got was 500 for a non running pile of crap

are you in the 3rd world?
