There's a bunch of reasons why it possibly wouldn't drop below 3k.
A relative of mine who said BTC was going to 100k in December 2017, and who also sold 3k of Microsoft stock in the late 80's, said he would buy BTC at 1k. Make of this what you will, but I all-inned as I view his statement as a counter-indicator.

I'm buying now at $3700. I hope that this turns into a support. Which would make a new higher low. Which are both bullish indicators. Fundamental wise, I am still very bullish, progress is going well for Ethereum.
Of course there is a chance that we double bottom at 3200. Or that we break down to 2800. And then perhaps even lower. But that would mean a double digits Ethereum price. I don't really see that happening.
