Why don't people just take out student loans, and then immediately use the money to start a business or do whatever the fuck they want? I have $70k in student loan debt and the degree wasn't even close to worth it. If I had just taken that cash and spent four years investing and starting businesses, I guarantee I'd be rich right now. I'm sure plenty of you could do the same. Hell, even if I blew it all on hookers and coke, I'm sure I'd have less regrets. College is literally the worst way to spend that money.

Any of the loans I ever got. Which are paid off and were under 5k because i knew this shit was a scam, were only payable directly to the institution l, as well i could only receive them if i was enrolled. I know there are living expense loans, however your not gettingn one of those without enrollmemt either.

Because you have to be enrolled in a college and the loan goes to the school first. They cut you a check for what’s left over after they get paid. You are legally only allowed to use the rest for educational expenses like books and living expenses while you’re in school. If you start a business with loan money while you’re attending school, you’re probably ok.

You can't go bankrupt with student debt, so you are shooting yourself in the photo if the business fails (and most do).

At least with a proper business loan, it's tied to the business entity. If the business goes under, assets are liquidated and the rest is written off in the bankruptcy.

Again issue is that these loans cannot be defaulted on and will haunt you to the end of your days...
