>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
but whats the difference to the end user investor if they move the same each day and have the same expense ratio
Vanguards website literally says 'VTSAX is also available in ETF form, VTI' so its the same thing?
Xavier Gray
I believe the mutual funds have minimum account requirements.
Benjamin Hughes
most do, usually around $2500 to start a position in a mutual fund, but rebalancing is free
Juan Diaz
yeah VTSAX has a $3k minimum, but that wont be an issue for me. Is that really the only difference, why even bother with a minimum if the expense ratio Vanguard makes is the same? It makes no sense, theres no neeed to make investoring so uber complicated like this
It depends how long he's going. Higher rates also mean higher default rates and derisking.

Ding ding ding! How did everyone do this week? I’m up .03%, still gween! Very good week, I have two days a week to actively trade now and it’s amazing. This week we’re going to a Romano’s in Chula Vista, California. This place looks like a shithole and the pic is low res so we’ll have to be careful
>argument with Warren Buffet on the Banks Berkshire Hathaway is going to get raped in the next recession. Consolidation in the industry might save them 15 years down the line, but in the next year or so it won't be pretty.
James Reed
Soso week, I need some more gains to balance out last fall
seething rage. you'd rather to see the world burn than to have bulls to profit hahahahaha. pathetic loser.
Nathan Wright
based macaroni grill.

And yet I was still up 4% last year, double Berkshire. Time will tell who's right in the end, however.

buttravaged bears are lashing out
Lucas Torres
It’s a visualization exercise I include with my data mining. Don’t think about it, just picture yourself in a Romano’s Macaroni Grill for a minute and tell me how much money you made or lost.
Does it matter? There's 50 wojak spam threads and 100 coin spam threads at any given time, so 2 stock threads isn't a big deal.

Why are we green? Fuck the PPT and fuck this market. This is not healthy. This manipulation will be the downfall of world economy. Let this credit bubble pop.

Mutual fund the dividend can be automatically reinvest (this is where the real growth comes from). ETF I believe gives you the dividends as cash
Jackson Hill

Jaxson Rivera
My portfolio is pretty geared toward higher rates in the next few years, as long as the credit spread isn't fucked I'll be okay. I'm holding NRZ JPM and BAC for these reasons.
Ayden Taylor
For bears, nothing is good enough. Market falls 20% and they act like it never happened. Assumptions never revisited.
It's crash or sit on the sidelines. You had an opportunity and you squandered it.
