He's putting Chainlink by name as a solution to oracle problem in his book Mastering Etherum, which landed in December 2018, book is being shilled by top notch figures on twitter for months, and it's avaible to read for free on github. Also, it was very old news, because while writing the book, he updated github version, and part about smartcontracts was updated in first quarter of 2018 if i remember correctly.
