How does biz see Italy?

1) A third world shithole comparable to Brazil, Venezuela etc..
2) Suother italian people are arabish/turkish like, whilst northen Italian people are quasi-white
3) A 2 world shithole like Romania, Bulgaria, Craotia, Spain, etc..
4) First world place to live in, like UK, Germany, French, USA, Australian, etc...

Choose from those 4 options, don't say your preference ''spaghetti, mafia, niggers''...
I am just curious to know how the world sees Italy (beside mafia and spaghetti)

Nice girls, good food and cars. Pretty cool but they are lazy as fuck

3

I'm in the UK.

Half way between 3 and 4, but I've never been there

>Nice girls

In EU the prettiest girls came from the Nord...the italian girls are not so beutiful

P.S. the 2 option is ''Sud italian people''

2

Their brightest people still rank high in science and technology
North = quasi-switzerland. South should be just nuked.
Strong historical background.

> US, Australia, Austria, Luxembourg, Andorra and the rest of tax havens and small states
> Germany, Italy
> Scandinavia
> Central /Eastern Euro, Croatia
> Romania, Bulgaria
> UK, Spain, France

So anybody from Italy, what's your opinion on the netflix series "Gomorra"

2

I've been to Rome and it was very grotty, but it's obvious Italy still has a lot of history, culture and beauty

And fuck your Fussballmannschaft Freund

Italy is trapped in its history. You had a situation where an industrial, mercantile, educated, prosperous country decided to unify with an agricultural, parochial, isolated, backward one. That instant wealth divide creates a giant economic problem which desu they failed to solve. The government has been trying to kickstart growth through subsidies and public works for generations, but it's only created a culture of dependency, corruption and inefficiency. The South is stuck in a negative loop which EU & Eurozone membership has arguably only made worse by preventing currency devaluation and providing even greater opportunity for skilled Southerners to GTFO.

Everywhere has this issue to some degree, because economic productivity is never uniform. The UK has Scotland and the North of England, America has problem states like Mississippi. They're economically subpar and have to be subsidized continuously. But the South is a really fucking big burden to carry. About a third of the Italian population lives there. Scotland is only about 8% of the British population. For the US, Kentucky, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and West Virginia put together is still only 5%. Italy has too big a weight to carry and it's not getting better.

Northern Italy is great. I don't have much bad to say about Northern Italy, I would be fine with living there, there are investment opportunities there. It's got everything needed for a first-world country. The South on the other hand is a mess and as far as I can see will continue to be. I'm not saying partitioning the place would necessarily improve it... but I can see why some Northerners might believe they'd be better off dropping the weight. Though they should maybe devote some thought to whether they really want a failed state on their southern border, because that's a real possibility.

Something close to #3. If I were forced to choose, I would live there above virtually anything to the west in Europe, but that's like saying I'd rather swallow axle grease over horse dung.

But I've got my sights set on a nice countryside home somewhere in Poland/Belarus/Lithuania, so I might be biased.

All valid points. Transitioning to a federal state is an inevitability in the long run. The South is a drain on the Italian economy and it's not going to stop being one until its citizens take responsibility for it.

As someone who lives in the country, the main problem with Italy is the immense weight of its welfare state. It eats into its citizen's profits because of taxes, stifles growth, and at the same time fails to deliver. Yet for all its shortcomings and inefficiencies, the citizens keep demanding more welfare. Especially in the South, where all of this creates a negative feedback loop of dependancy, hopelessness, and laziness. Ripe territory for all kinds of mafias to operate into with the tacit assent of the populace. It's the same thing that happens in Mexico.

Unfortunately, the national intelligentsia is so entrenched and set in its ways that to even consider scaling back on welfare is tantamount to heresy. Even worse, it seems like we're going to get our own version of UBI in the near future courtesy of one of the parties in power, which means things are only going to get more and more stagnant.

And you idiots wonder why the rest of the world doesn't take you seriously.

>perchè la situazione sta precipitando.

ahahah sei caduto nel meme di questa board che l'economia mondiale collasserà ed il Bitcoin sostituirà l' USD? ahaha penoso sei

This italian friendo fell for the USD collapse meme spammed by retarded on this board.

The reality is that USA have 30 years of bull market

Romania and Bulgaria do not belong in a conversation with Spain and Italy. Spain, Italy, Portugal are all about 3.5 on your scale. But that is massive leap from the 3s like Romania.

I was in Sicily last year and I beg to differ. Overall it seemed like the girls are beautiful but have shit personalities though.

>con sti coglioni al governo
Piddino spotted.

Sì, Facebook, Playstation, il SUV ultimo modello e il Pandoro sotto l'Albero di Natale.
