you are giving the person 10 pounds, and the piece of paper (once cotton, now plastic in reality) is the certificate to say you did it
>Ready salted potato sticks
Fries?
don't be so uncouth chap we don't eat that yank tosh
10 pounds of (((specimen)))
that (((they))) have
Yes. But people who shop at M&S don't like yank branding because their conservative parents taught them to hate yanks. Despite being 'conservatives', they're still liberal sheep who hate Brexit etc.
Usually if you see thin chips labelled as 'fries' in the UK they'll be covered in American flags or something. We eat thick chips usually.
No, they're not fries.
10 pounds of unlimited Muslim immigration.
Literally nothing

It says that BoE promises to give the bearer of the note 10 pounds.
The note already represents 10 pounds, though. So in what form would they pay you 10 pounds?
Since the pound is not pegged to gold anymore that phrase doesn't make much sense.
They can only give you another 10 pound note in exchange for your own note.
It’s almost like fiat money isn’t worth anything
>their conservative parents taught them to hate yanks. Despite being 'conservatives', they're still liberal sheep who hate Brexit etc.
d-delete
it's a holdover from the gold standard
do you retards learn anything?
Pay the bearer on demand = paying legal tender. Legal tender is a payment of debt. In the United States, when a bank takes out a loan from the federal reserve, the bank promises to pay back that much plus interest or "promises the bearer on demand a sum of" said loan + interest. Another thing is fiat isn't backed by anything so money in the real world is only word of mouth agreements written on paper. They hijacked how money works and made it a system where the rich get richer and the poor make the rich richer.
We are getting scammed in this system.
Itt y'all retardees.
Imagine living in a world where all spending is limited by the amount of godl one person or state has.
First you have to work for godl then spend godl until
>Oy mates, no more godl, better pack your shit and go home untill we find some godl somewhere.
copper coins
The note is technically just a claim to 10 pounds from the Bank of England, not 10 pounds itself.
There's no actual, physical pound, it's an accounting unit.
what did civilization mean by this?
And people wonder how bitcoin has more of an inherent value than fiat. Fiat isn't even worth the paper it's printed on.
It’s a British potato snack, imagine potato chips cut into shreds. They’re like that but less tasty.
