Brave Browser is absolutely great on mobile, it really does block ads and it just works. On PC, it's a resource-hungry piece of shit. Either the browser will be as light as Firefox, Chrome or freaking Opera, or Brave will be only able to dream about adoption. Brave is really heavy. I have a shit 10 year old laptop which runs Chrome with about 40 tabs (before it closes) just fine, but Brave is so slow I uninstalled it after 5 minutes. BAT is a good concept, but the execution is pure meme. Give mobile users BAT and maybe I will buy 1 BAT.

The ICO was a moneygrab. BAT doesn't use blockchain AT ALL. To withdraw money one first needs to do KYC with BAT (who takes a cut between 5-15%) and then register and do KYC with Uphold (who also takes a cut).
Both corporations are also subject to the Operation Chokepoint pressures and in no way does blockchain alleviate any of this.
Not to mention that ETH blockchain is mostly run off of AWS...
