Grin launches tomorrow. Im still researching but possibly a way to add privacy+scalability for bitcoin. Monero is also thinking about it as a 2nd layer solution. I hear it being subtly mentioned but rarely see it here. With chainlink singlarity near it’s time to start eying the next layer. Why isn’t GRIN and the mimble wimble tech being discussed.

Look I understand. Only viable projects in the space are BTC/LINK/ETH/XMR. I’m the first one to be skeptical but I think this is the real deal.

BEAM also launched last week. You'll see threads about these coins here on and off until one of them violently moons.

Bitcoin being finite is experimental nobody knows what will happen when miners have to live off tx fees. The argument will be that at least miners will be incentivized to secure the network infinitely

20% tax isn't bad. It's temporary At least the coin isn't wrecked by premine (and so it isn't doomed to fail like XRP and Stellar) and unless they actively work to make Beam succeed, the Beam get nothing but worthless shitcoins for their trouble.

As of right now these coins have basically zero marketing. Developers and insiders will enrich themselves as much as possible before normies catch on. I am in Telegram groups with a lot of very big VC people who are all very excited about this. Beam in particular is a scam due to 20% of newly minted coins being diverted to (((FOUNDERS' REWARDS)))

These articles just started popping up again, so you're right that as of right now the shilling has already picked up again. It will be a while before ledditors and pajeets catch on to this though.
Also Beam is literally another Zcash scam. These are more sophisticated than your typical chink or pajeet scam. Interesting in seeing how it plays out though. I would say go long on XMR if you want to bet against these new coins.
