I am pretty sure that their idea just does not work. there is no way for their network to be adopted. literally no way to adopt some specialized hardware to such an extent when the network will start to function as intended. you literally need fucking decades to make their idea work, so it will be already irrelevant when it supposed to become relevant. by browsing their websites you just see these fundamental flaws and go back to plebbit.
It does not matter if their hardware functions or it's does not. It will never function properly because there wont be enough clients to buy this and report issues. and i repeat, if this is not a scam, they literally need fucking decades to make it work, so if it is not a scam, it's just retards, because their idea is very likely to be irrelevant in the future.

Hardware is subsidized that so there is an economic incentive to purchase and run Sky nodes. After nodes pay themselves off, there is incentive to keep nodes running for the cheap internet and passive income from packet forwarding. The amount of customers for this will be enourmous, especially with the looming internet privacy cult emerging. And yes you are right, the project will take years for it to fully come into fruition, that is why coin distribution is planned well in advance. The project already has almost 10K nodes up and running in the testnet, which is quite impressive considering the bear market.
