>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, stop making the general with trips, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
Today I've witnessed the Eldritch Truth of the stock market. Fundamentals don't matter, technicals don't matter, sentiment doesn't matter. No strategy is truly applicable to the Market. Banks control the entire game. Any success is based 100% on luck. I don't know what to think anymore.
its decision matrix >What would LCIguy do if he was in a car full of kids screaming for McDonals? >What would Teh_Profit do if he was in a car full of kids screaming for McDonals?
Triangle shows they do something in between the main options.
Considering what happened at the end of this year, I'm surprised only their fixed income division took a hit. Not a bad earnings report considering the circumstances.
Carson Cox
Why would anyone actually go to McDonald's?
They're expensive as fuck and have small portions for the price.
Chase Cooper
I like mcdonalds

There never was any recession. People are emotional and overreacted to the 10 year anniversary of the great financial crisis. This fear gained momentum and resulted in more losses. Tax loss harvesting destroyed December. We are returning to mean. SPY 320 by EOY.

>biz is bullish due to a big yummy green crayon emerging on the price charts Thanks just shorted 100k
Let's say you know a good biopharma penny stock that you believe will do very good in the coming year or two. How much money should you put on it? All in? 50/50 with safe index funds? What if you're a poor college student with only 1-2k to throw around?
>People are emotional and overreacted to the 10 year anniversary of the great financial crisis.
This. In my country, every single national newspaper ran stories about the 10y anniversary and every paper's debate section was filled with doom and gloom for weeks on end.
No wonder sentiment turned sour.
Ryan Brown
another female on their period, too emotional... never gonna make it

put on a trip and talk about it here first.. let everyone bash it and short it until you can get the stock cheaper.. then start buying and take off trip

This post is about me I personally decided to go balls to the wall with my risk tolerance and go all in on the biotech stocks, but I would recommend other people go 50/50 with safe index funds/bonds Once GALT pans out, I'm going to do that

Market valuations are driven by liquidity and market spirits, my nigga.
Why do you think we talk so much about the bull and the bear?
the truth people don't like to tell you about the stock market because they like you giving them money
In order of importance: >savings rate (capital to invest) - doesn't matter what your % return is if you only have 100 bucks >taking profits/protecting capital from losses. avoiding losses is much more important to compounding than making big gains > maximizing returns - this is actually the least important because drawdowns that occur chasing "big" returns can be near impossible to recover
not a hard guess which of the 3 /smg/ focuses on. do with this what you will

Fucking this. Defending against losses is one of the most important things you can do.
It's not a kind of bond. It's the strategy outlined in the title of the graph with the safehaven asset being bonds.
If you're invested in the market as a whole it comes down identifying when you're late cycle, most notably through the yield curve and other recession indicators. But otherwise, more generally, yes. Pay attention to what causes new highs and try to understand whether its sustainable or not. I sold cracker barrel on its exact year highs because I saw its good earning report and figured that the impact wouldn't last.
Evan Young
Dax, euro stoxx 50 etc. are lagging super badly now. No recovery yet at all, looking real baaad here for european indecies.
>Wrong, it's controlled by Jews. Plain and simple. Anyone whos made money in the stock market did so by sheer luck, that it. thats literally it
Liquidity is controlled by Jews via the Federal Reserve. As soon as Trump puts a goy in charge he starts reigning in capital expansion via higher interest rates.
Market sentiment is in large part influenced by Jews via the media.
Cashing out all my SPYD into BST It's time to retire at 40 I feel I was misplaced!
Jayden Gonzalez
i dont get it
are you saying when you think a recession is coming you start buying bonds with your monthly capital investments, then when we switch back bullish you start buying up the cheap equities?
Adrian Ross
So with safehaven assets, you mean re-adjusting a portfolio into bonds before a yield curve inversion?
Am I understanding you correct?
Jaxon Collins
I see the potential in this. Going to read up on it some more and by EOD I will make my decision.
Carson Allen
wrong. in order of importance
>live a moral life, do not cheat and swindle. lend a helping hand to your community and family >do something you enjoy and love >raise a family to do the same then what you said
Samuel Lewis
They control both the media and the federal reserve, theres no way around this, the two work hand in hand to do their bidding
Elijah Morris
That's one way of doing it, but the model is based around what happens if you sell your equity investment and put it into bonds after a yield curve inverts. There is, however, capital gains tax you'd have to deal with. I took it into account with a flat 25% cut each time you sell.
After a yield curve inversion, but yes.
Cooper Smith
