Is this best way to save money on shaving?
Is this best way to save money on shaving?
by not shaving
Nothing quite beats the shearing force of GILLETTE imo
Dunno about this shit brand, but just get a rockwell and buy 100 blades on ebay for like 10 bucks. You'll be set. Or get a straight razor for ultimate future savings.
>Is this best way to save money on shaving?
Don't know about that particular brand, but safety razor + shark blades ftw. Better shave, and way cheaper than buying a ton of plastic crap.
Test
>GILLETTE
This
If you don't buy GILLETTE, then you are a sexist racist homophobe
Start with a AliExpress razor.
Buy 100 pack of Astra
Your done for less then 15 bucks.
buy a whetstone and use the same blade for fucking ever
I bought a plastic one of these for $2 (the chrome on the part that touches your face on the metal ones will eventually flake off and render it useless. Unless ripping your face to shreds with flakes chrome is your goal). Bought 1000 blades for $15. I don't think I will even go through all of those before I die.
You have to be careful. I sharpened a razor so sharp that if I move it through the air too fast it splits hydrogen molecules and leaves an arc of nuclear explosions in its wake.
i hear Edwin Jagger is good to.
Just short PG boomer stocks and use the profits for gillete razors. Win/win
I am forced to use Mach 3 anything else makes my face rash like fuck
Why not use an electric one?
>oil
>replace razor after 6 months of everyday use
>recharge when you need it the most.
>can't match closeness of a real razor.
NO.
Its the Japanese steer.
> shark
oh boy really? for me they are sub-par compared to other blades
had that as first one
pretty good for beginners since it is not aggressive and smooth to shave
need a 2nd round for a really good shave though
Is there really any reason not to use disposables? They're all I've ever used and I don't have any complaints.
paying more money long term
polluting the environment with plastic and other thing
huge profits for big companies
I only buy razors with nippon steel folded over 1000 times
I want my razor to be stuck in a Dolphins throat once ive finished with it
But it's not more money long term. A packet costs something like $5 and lasts literal years.
I can give some resilient empirical impressions, since I switched for electrical shaving to a razor (not a straight razor) back in 2009. Naturally they have an indefinite life expectancy, so all you have to 'renew' is blades (I always bought whole displays of Feather's) and shaving cream (I tried expensive ones, but switched to the cheapest Gillette out of the spray can). So I do this about a decade now: It is cheap, more clean, but laborious from time to time, because it just takes time to shave this way. Since I do have a stronger beard (a blade usually lasts two applications, if I am cheap then three) and cannot therefore shave on a day to day basis, I tend to shave two to three times a week. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Anything electric when it comes to shaving is burning money AND is burning a considerable amount of money.
Go full pube-face aesthetic.
I bought one of these around 5 years ago.
It shaves decently even without foam, but I use a brush and shaving bar to get a good lather and use that most of the time.
It honestly gives a really close shave - almost as close as a razor, but without the irritation/bleeding/dryness.
I do also have a manual razor to do my sideburns nice and straight, and to finish off certain areas.
This saves me a shit load of money, because the electric razor blade lasts 2+ years (I've never replaced mine though), and I use maybe 1-2 manual blade heads a year.
Oh, and Philips have great warranty/replacement - I actually replaced this twice in 5 years because I left it in my bathroom and the steam eventually penetrated into the circuits.
Fpbp
I don't know what beard / skin type I even have but electric razors are utterly useless on me. Even if I used it for an hour I'd still have a stubble.
>>It shaves decently even without foam
>foaming your face for an electric razor
simple as that
check qshave on aliexpress. Its pretty neet quality for such razors. I bought oneblade electric shaver like one year ago and I will not change it for anything. Fast, clean fancy
Sharpen a straight razor?
OP would cut his throat
A straight razor. I dumped my gilette razors two days ago and pic related came int the mail today.
Depends on your straight razor. The one i bought, has changable blades. These blades are cheap as fuck.
He's saying that disposables are more in the long term. The price difference in the actual razor blades between disposables and double edge safety blades is 2 orders of magnitude
This. Rockwell 6S gang
Yeah, it's called protecting your skin/softening the hair/easier glide
Are you even old enough to shave?
