The problem is whether or not you look at the individual or the group. These two things are mutually exclusive, you either look at people from a population perspective or you look at them from an individual perspective.

The mantra of western democracies are that Race, Religion, Culture, etc. None of it matter, we look at the individual and don't treat individuals based on their belongings to certain groups.

I think he will go to the grave feeling morally righteous. The first time his comments on race and IQ fell, was where he talked about third-world-aid, that it didn't have the effect you could expect.. and he thought that the reason for the lack of effect, where that we were giving out aid under the premise that black and whites are equally intelligent.
