Anons, Lightning network is quietly the next big thing

Lightning is organically growing similar to how Bitcoin itself did early on. Don't knock it just because all the Bcash shills spread FUD. Lightning is actually awesome. And at the rate it's growing, it might just surprise people pretty soon.

For once, OP was not a fag today.

yup..

BCash shilling has seriously died out in the past month or two. Maybe one too many shills offed themselves after the price tanked.

Yay, we reinvented the banking system.
Next off, fractional reserve banking, courtesy of Blockstream tm.

So what will lightning do exactly, in a general sense?

Make transactions faster with less cost?

Go read the lightning white paper, check the github commits, and stop spouting nonsense.

Oh wait, you're a bcash bagholder.

>Make transactions faster with less cost?

Yes, it already does this quite well.

It allows anonymous payments with BTC, that are instant speed and almost free to anyone on the network.

The main benefit is that it scales linearly, as more users come on board. All with essentially the same security as the base layer bitcoin network.

I've read it before you entered crypto you fucktard.
I bet you don't even know what the writers of that said whitepaper are working on now. Just a hint - unlike BTC it can be profitable to hold. But only devs can get it for now so your stupid ass is out of luck.
>All with essentially the same security as the base layer bitcoin network.
Funds have already been lost due to bugs on the LN layer. Funds have never been lost on the blockchain layer. You'd be more trustworthy if you didn't have to resort to lying.

Never been lost on the blockchain layer due to bitcoin bugs that is...*

>FUCK Bitcoin Core BCash and Satoshi Faggot.
Grin Monero and ZCash are the boss now.

>I've read it before you entered crypto you fucktard.
Impossible.

>I bet you don't even know what the writers of that said whitepaper are working on now
Joseph Poon is working on Plasma for ETH. I guess you're right, I don't know what Thaddeus Dryja has been up to lately. What does that have to do with Lightning again, bcash boy?

The total amount of BTC ~lost~ to LN development is < 3

Traveling salesman

Are you mining Grin, bruh?
Got 8 of these 570-s on the job, switched from Beam when the mainnet launched.
>Impossible.
I guess you're one of the 3 early adopters who still support core's roadmap, kek.
>Joseph Poon is working on Plasma for ETH.
I was talking about something else.
> What does that have to do with Lightning again, bcash boy?
How am I supposed to know, you brought it up...
>The total amount of BTC ~lost~ to LN development is < 3
It's more than 0 so I had to correct the lying faggot.
The only Bitcoin cash shilling was those stupid Bitcoin CASH threads, and OP admitted he's a CSW cock holster so by forking away BCH became the first officially faggot-free community.
There used to be a ton of core trolling threads where us BCH-ers would come out and correct all the lies, but that's it, really. And I'm not even all that big on BCH, just hate trolls and liars.

Not the problem in question and an optimal path is not necessary.

>first officially faggot-free community
how is that possible when you're apart of it

a part*

>spellchecking on an anonymous anime forum

why am i not surprised

Limits on chain adoption to 5tps to make people use a mesh network that's mathematically impossible to route transactions peer to peer because they want to have more non mining nodes even though non mining nodes have no affect on consensus because bitcoin is proof of work not proof of stake.

>Limits on chain adoption to 5tps

what is segwit

An irreperable cancer

insta micropayments
which is required for commerce

since its opt-in meaning you can just not use it if you don't want to by definition it can be easily repaired. (assuming there is anything wrong with it which fudders failed to provide the slightest proof so far)
