Why do wagies NEVER say anything bad about their jobs and the places they work at? I can understand if they didn't want to draw attention, but they don't even do it anonymously.

I can think of two possibilities
1. Wagies really love their jobs
2. They are scared shitless of talking about anything bad, even anonymously

I find this behavior truly fascinating. If theres ever a shit, low class product on the market, people have no problem convincing other people to avoid it. But when it comes to jobs, they rather keep their mouths shut.

Glassdoor doesn't count because can't tell from the real ones and fakes.

Also, the average wagie is a docile, timid sort who is unlikely to ever seek out any sort of higher meaning. Their parents waged, their parents parents waged, and therefore they themselves must wage. Good or bad is irrelevant to the wagie. They are, for the most part, simply grateful to have a job (how many of you wagies just read this, and thought to yourselves ‘it could always be worse’. probably most of you).

The people capable of thinking critically about their jobs and/or lives will generally not thrive in a wagie environment. I myself am a reformed wagie turned crypto neet and therefore understand such things.

I'll be honest; the only and I do mean only reason I took the job/entered state government was due to the pension/retirement and health plan. Plus the paid time off and the fact that only real fuck ups get fired. So job security. The other side of it is due to regs I can retire fully at age 50 v.s private sector your lucky to retire at 65. So I gain 15 yrs of life; just do what I wanna do and don't worry about shit.

Private sector your basically working at the whim of your boss/management. So each day is another stress inducer; your constantly on guard not to make any mistakes cause you don't want to give anyone a reason to fire you. Or piss off the wrong person, then they'll trump up some shit on you just to give them legal way to fire you. State/government; they got so many layers of regs involving hiring/firing of people that the only way to get fired is if you actually go outta your way to get fired in the first place or steal/falsify time you work.

im a delivery driver for a small private company.

i get paid $20 an hour plus benefits (health, dental, 401k and bonuses).

there's 18 people total that work for my company.

i do no heavy lifting. i deal with nobody.

i take off when i want to. i'm off all federal, state, and local holidays, and get paid for all of them. off weekends.

i get a yearly 2 week paid vacation and a yearly christmas bonus (usually a grand)

i run my personal errands on the job with the companies vehicle on the companies dime.

i eat when i want to. i take breaks when i want to. i smoke weed when i want to.

i've fucked sluts in the company vehicle.

my boss has total and complete trust in me because i've never stolen anything, im not a nigger, i'm not autistic (just borderline) and i do my job and do it well.

been there 5 years. worked overtime like 3 times. matter fact, i rarely hit 40 hours. i rarely work past 2pm

i get paid every week.
i have nothing bad to say. it is a dead end job, but i genuinely like my coworkers, good with the owner/boss, and have lots of freedom. pay is decent, benefits are good, flexibility is great, portfolio looking good, able to save money every week/month for crypto and fuck you money..... what more can i ask for?

I do bring it up often enough, usually on the DIY board, sometimes when I do bring it up I get people asking me about it as they are considering it for a career too. the worst part is having to deal with the other trades and being able to read their mind or really dive deep into their blue prints.

I am considering this and have so questions. How much do you make? Do you own your own company or how are you paid? What are hours and schedule like? Do you get physically exhausted every day?

i say dead end as in theres no real opportunity to move up. no more raises. and i doubt the bonuses will be bigger. but yes, it is a comfy job, not stressful (time schedule pressure is as bad as it gets) and like i said, good benefits and pay. i'll probably be here a while.
