I have an accountant.

My finances are too big dick energy to do myself

bump

You do taxes? yeesh.

You realize that all your accountant does is input your forms into TurboTax right?

how do I keep from paying the fine for now health insurance?

when I have my taxes done by a professional, they're able to get it off, but I don't know how

big
dick
energy

I’ve used TurboTax in the past. But this will be the first year I won’t have stock purchases/gain/loss to report so I can get away with a 1040EZ. I keep a spreadsheet throughout the year so I already know my liability and what I’ll owe. I’ve been thinking about doing it by hand for fun

I have 800+ trades through Robinhood this year how fucked am I?

Not very. But with stock trades you have to fill out a 1099 and while I was trading taxes ran me about 80 bucks to do. But that was with a discount through my online brokerage.

As for the 1099 itself you can import it like a w2. So it won’t be tedious having to write in every trade thankfully.

how do I do my sole-prop with Turbotax senpai ?
>CA user

TurboTax here for the last 13 year. I earn less than $20k/year, so easy.

Maybe the just lie? Had an accountant friend who did my taxes for me one year. Reduced my taxes I paid out by $800 (did a lot of contract work that year) by pretty much claiming expenses that I didn't have receipts for. I had some qualms, but that was over 7 years ago.

It'll be a pain, but doable. TurboTax as of last year only allowed up to 1000 trades to be imported into their tax system. Another user last year in a crypto tax thread mentioned that HR Block's tax software allows a lot more.

IRS digital form. Tax return forms are not complicated if you're literate. IRS provides plain easy-to-understand instructions.
Don't waste your money getting somebody else to do it, unless you have a special need.

>800$
they just didn't care enough to check user

>Having taxable income for 13 or more years
>Making less than 20k a year
Yikes.

Yeah, an accountant.

>Don't waste your money getting somebody else to do it, unless you have a special need
I'm a special needs person. I like it when the turbo tax program tells me I did a good job when I click the OK button.

Do you have any idea how utterly insensitive you are? Jews are a treasure which you clearly don't deserve.

>Jews are a treasure
I wonder why they've been kicked out of over 100 different countries hmmmmmm

>blaming jews for their own persecution
Disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I figured that that to be the case. My parents bring in over 250k/year and donate north of 50k/year to mainly religious charities. IRS under Obama was cracking down on fraudulent donations (supposedly targeting religious donations). For 2-3 years, the IRS would send a "your donations are suspicious, we're gonna investigate you". They'd get everything together, then the IRS always sent a "nevermind, we won't look into it" letter.

My thoughts exactly. Hard to make a decent living when I'm mentally off in the head. On meds, in therapy and in community college getting CS and CIS degrees. Hoping to earn more this route. I hate being constantly broke. Got used to living on the cheap and I have no debt, so a plus there.

Last year I made 60k and got back almost $4k, used a CPA. This year I hopped onto turbo tax, punched in my info and it says I'm getting back $2k and this year I made 70k. How the hell did I make 10k more and I'm getting half the return? What did my CPA do differently than TurboTax last year? I live in NY. No house, no kids.

Job?

City job w/ sanitation dept

Foreign incomefag here. I use a cpa. Fuck h&r block.

I've used freetaxusa.com for like 5 years with no issues. Costs $13 to file state return and federal is free. Takes me like 15 minutes since I only have a simple w2
