When did software engineering turn into girls eating in front of a camera?

When women we're allowed to work.
Seriously the main motivator of allowing women to work besides of course lowering wages, changing work conditions in the favor of employers, and further destroying the home, was so that the guys above could have harem of women to fuck. That's why in many traditional culture women working is looked down upon as a form of cuckoldry.
Further to the point in our neo-liberal capitalist society that thrives on usury and exploitation 80% of jobs are simply just for show, and here the Pareto principle applies where in most companies a small percent of employees do the majority of the work.
It's propoganda...forget about it.
Is software even a good career anymore? I just decided to start studying CS and this type of shit is extremely discouraging. I thought CS was the last non-meme degree.
No
You could invest 10 years in any other industry and make comparable pay with less studying
it's good. just make sure you go to a good school to stand out
>arrives at office at 10:30 am
>leaves sometime in the early afternoon
Ignoring SF that is, because SF is just overpriced in every metric
Pareto principle doesnt apply to social demographics
companies that have female ceos, managers, etc perform noticeably under the average
you never find females in private equity. they don't fuck around because their money is theirs, and they aren't going to fucking flush it in the toilet just to please a bunch of sluts
it kind of does actually
Oh yea? Such as
im more concerned about the loser sitting in the background next to her
it literally got coined to describe socio-economic dynamics dude
I thinkt he other posters description is a pretty good one. 80% jobs are pretty useless, other than you provide services/slave labor to the people that are actually bringing value to the economy
the more value any given individual brings to the economy, the more useless jobs he can create, e.g. maids, personal foot massagers, etc.
by definition, the others are LITERALLY useless, but they are the route that the value he brings to the economy enters back into circulation. he could literally be paying these people to build pyramids instead of landscaping. pyramids are useless. landscaping is useless. only the site of value creation is actually useful.
he's being generous, I'd say the real distribution is closer to 5% of jobs being useful, but pareto applies more broadly. e.g. inside individual firms
No... think of it this way, all the things you probably enjoy using are not things that a company will pay you to create or even maintain.
>80% of jobs are useless
Bullshit, citation needed as fuck
you've clearly never had a job. most people, at most jobs, ever, just stand around all day. or sit.
in fact trying to increase productivity because bosses aren't fucking stupid, they can see their employees fucking around, is one of the BIG things they're trying to figure out.
management tries things like constantly monitoring employees to increase productivity, they can FUCKING see their employees doing nothing. but the problem is that generally even good employees fuck around most of the time.
literaly the only job that people don't fuck around 90% of the time at are factory line jobs. and they have HARD fucking jobs that it is very easy to see if they're not doing it.
please, get a job you idiot.
>muh anecdotes
Clearly YOUVE never had a job
management at any place that isn't finance, factory line, or medical, could theoretically easily boost productivity by double if they could find a method of people not being fuckers
you're an idiot

But I have also held many jobs and I can tell you that the few who do work probably only do 1-2 hours of work a day (in an 8 hour day), the majority do nothing but pretend to be busy.
Some people do nothing in their jobs. Its nowhere near 80% in any industry
you're an idiot. one, that's not the entire argument. second, people that 'do nothing' do their job at a speed that should get them fired, because there are honest people that are literally doing the job 6-8 times faster than them, but due to various legal protections the managers are helpless
hence the application of the pareto principle.
please come back after you've decided to be less stupid
don't be like that
not good
No rly. You dont understand the implications of 80-20 principle to productivity. It means you can fire 99% of your workforce and still only halve your output.
There is just no literature on such a ratio being observed in any workforce anywhere. Its numbers pulled out of someones ass
Heard it from the genius that is Stefan Molyneux. I will agree that it does sound far fetched but I still think the number is high in the book BS jobs David Graeber, research, puts it at I think 40%.
its not 'pulled out of' any ass you dumb nigger
read up on labor practice and organizational psychology
the productivity ratio is literally one of the primary reasons sunset companies never become productive again
Citations or gtfo
>everyone does their job, all the time, and no one murders, cheats, or steals
>also, hiring and management practice is 100% efficient, and changes in management practice NVER result in changes to productivity because obviously everyone is doing their job at 100% every day, every place, on the planet, and also, the best people for the job get hired 100% of the time, and people that are manipulative or liars NEVER get hired or promoted. NEVER.
>because this is sunshine and candy land and anything that isn't sunshine needs a citation. and businesses never reach sunset mode. infinite stock gains FOREVER
yeah, fuck off nigger
your posts read like something made by a person in an undeveloped communist country
>anyone working in facebook is a software engie
>believes some bullshit he heard one time in spite of zero supporting evidence or research
just gtfo
>capitalism is only valid if academics support it via citations
spotted the genius
what yes it absolutely does ???
if you don't know shit about psychology and social dynamical research then don't post about it lmfao
