Don't bother with the chink knockoff gopros, my girlfriend got me an $80 one for a birthday present and the charging port broke the second time I tried charging it. This was also a year after buying it so I was shit out of luck. You are better off getting one of the older gopro models used, all you really need is to be able to shoot in 1080p and they have had that forever. They might have a decent button-hole camera you can conceal in your clothes so you will be less of a target. GoPros are action sports cameras, so if you don't need it to be especially water/impact proof then you don't need to pay extra for that.
