Money, as currency, is not a tangible store of value like Gold, it is an intangible means of representing/communicating/measuring value.
Money is itself worthless, it’s only value being its utility to facilitate commerce, be manipulable and liquid. That’s right, a good currency by utilitarian design is meant to be spent not hodled, thus its meant to be absolute shit at retaining value with any long term reliability.
