I'm looking for answers to simple questions about Lightning Network

I'm looking for answers to simple questions about Lightning Network.

Does LN actually solve the scalability problem? What would it take for a business to start accepting LN? For example, how could an online casino start accepting LN deposits and withdrawals, and what would be the advantages in doing so over just accepting bitcoin?

Yes, it does. Its fucking perfect, literally now lighting adoption is going parabolic while these retards are betting on russian pajeet projects this is exploding

>Does LN actually solve the scalability problem?
no
> What would it take for a business to start accepting LN?
A much easier user experience
>For example, how could an online casino start accepting LN deposits and withdrawals, and what would be the advantages in doing so over just accepting bitcoin?
There would be no advantages

look at this

Ok blockstream. Whatever you say. What are those futures doing to the price of bitcoin again?

> Does LN actually solve the scalability problem?

Yes it does.

> What would it take for a business to start accepting LN?

Setting a node (I think you can connect to a remote one but I'm not that entirely sure).

>For example, how could an online casino start accepting LN deposits and withdrawals, and what would be the advantages in doing so over just accepting bitcoin?

Payments in literally 2 seconds without fees.

The only true thing this pajeet is saying is that we need easier user experience and friendlier to normies.

>network capacity
>2 million
>No one talking about it
>interest is drying up
Pathetic

I'm buying Dash instead. they have clear roadmap and scaling techniques, not a shitty second layer banking 2.0 shit tier system that doesn't even address ye olde routing problem.

>No one talking about it

Time to buy I think

TIP: Do the entire opposite of Jow Forums retards say bitcoin + LN is fucking perfect.

And remember pajeets, the things that are being build in the bear market will have an effect in the next gbr, thats how we got cycles of 100x

Except literally everyone is dragging their feet on integrating it because nobody wants it. All demand is for on-chain transactions. Ironically, lightning will only be desirable once bitcoin fails to scale on-chain again. But once that happens people will just switch to a new coin. catch 22

You have to have scability problems to have scability, when the next gbr hits and fees go to the roof this is going to explode, keep buying your retard coin that will uninevitablely go to zero.

Youre an idiot
LN is the best invention since bitcoin
Several dev teams, apps, wallets
LN development is the most entertaining thing happening in the bear market and it's the reason I still buy some bitcoin every month

Actually most coins don't plan to have "scalability problems" they plan to have that sorted out so users don't get fucked in the ass with $20 fees. Enjoy your shitcoin

Whatever retard, we will see what coins end up being the "shitcoin".

Actually most coins dont have security
Actually most coins are centralized garbage

Yeah, because shitcoins don't use byzantine fault tolerant algorithms. Of course centralization increases the speed of computing.

>Does LN actually solve the scalability problem?
>>no
Correct, it's not fully decentralized scaling. It's essentially like using paypal. but it's slightly decentralized with a few hands ensuring protection

> What would it take for a business to start accepting LN?
>>A much easier user experience
not everything needs to be decentralized.

>For example, how could an online casino start accepting LN deposits and withdrawals, and what would be the advantages in doing so over just accepting bitcoin?
>>There would be no advantages
incorrect, Faster transactions.

roger says no

at 7 tx per second, meaning you could open 7 channels per second at most, creating enough channels to create a big enough network would take centuries.

Schnorr and channel factories

based

Casa node has easy UI for a grandma to set up.

dude can you at least explain it to me in one sentence?
I can't get it, my brain is just mush from spending my day in the wagecage.

Schnorr wraps a bunch of transaction data into 1 transaction
Channel factories are an onboarding process where several people join LN at the same time while creating a meshnet of channels all between themselves

hmmmm...
I don't see how either of those are much of an improvement but I will just have to look further into it.
I really want to believe, but I just don't think this will work anytime soon.

We'll probabaly not see worldwide adoption anytime soon either
It's something and it helps in time we'll have more techniques to solve this problem

Sir I am looking for simple answer, is Vishnu in the blockchain? How did it get there?

advantage: insta payments required for irl commerce
for an online service i don't think it's a big deal for now.

there is a vishnu called poolip on the blockchain and satoj put it there to play chess
