> 2006 > Be 20 > Want a cool car > Oh cool I'll buy a Mustang > 30,000 miles, water leak, whenever it rains water pours into the car. Car filled with 2 inches of water. It was never the same since > Ford fixed it for free but despite obvious guide distributed to the service centers that says in all caps "DO NOT JUST FILL THE HOLES WITH SILICONE, REPLACE THE VALVES", they filled the holes with silicone so the leak came back later > 45,000 miles I go to park on a hill one day and the e-brake cable snapped. Ford refused to cover the repair. The service center said I must have been power braking and drifting. I wasn't, it was a shitty cable and Ford knew about it. > 50,000 miles I go to change my spark plugs and 2 of them snapped off into the cylinder, Ford decided to use 2 piece plastic spark plugs for their cars from 2005 to 2009. Class action lawsuit in process, no one has been paid yet. Ford refused to cover the $300 repair that was needed. They even invented an extraction tool to solve this problem but haven't compensated anyone > 60,000 miles starting to get electrical issues from the leak, lights blink and stuff > 70,000 miles leak comes back and this time, even though I pointed out to the service center that they fixed it wrong and that's why it came back they refused to cover it. The breaking point.jpg > I call Ford corporate and get a rep on the phone. Explain everything. I asked if they could at least cover part of the $300 required to get the water leak fixed. > They say "no" > I said "ma'am I'm going to sell this car and get a Japanese one. I will never ever buy another Ford and I'll tell other people not to buy a Ford as well" > She says "that's fine we're not covering the repair"
This company can go fuck itself. Hope it goes completely bankrupt.
It's a shitty unreliable product and Ford needs massive changes or will die. Look at their offshore sales. Short the stock.

Talk to a lawyer even if they "only" find out they filled the holes with silicone that's gross negligence find out if you have a case and take it from there I can't imagine they'd do that then act blazay, email ford and state that you're taking legal action because of the poor service at their service centers and their repeated shoddy customer service take pictures LOTS OF THEM of the silicone around the holes and keep them safe.

Aside from the Mustang and some trucks, Ford doesn't even put V8s into any vehicles anymore. Not even the Lincoln Navigator. My parents bought an Escort in about 1991 and later on bought a Windstar in about 1995. The van wasn't too bad, but they only drove it to about 130,000 or so.
I don't think Ford would survive a recession. Trump would probably bail them out. They didn't take the money the first time, but they have a new CEO now.
Although maybe I should have? At any rate all of it pissed me off but none of it was really worth going to court over, as I currently make $70k a year.
They have 3 different class actions against them here in America, not sure what's happening with any of those cases though
> spark plugs > failed brakes > water leaks

the newest gen mustangs are actually pretty well made

Pretty much the same here, except with a Chevy. Fuck American cars

I might. I really hope electric becomes mainstream

I've heard this and I really love American muscle.
But they ass fucked me so hard I can't forgive them.

>he fell for the american car meme Dont buy anything other than Japanese they are proven to be the most reliable. Honda/Toyota/Lexus
This story is why you never buy the first year or two of a new model vehicle. There are a host of small stupid shit like this that will plague you unless you buy it and sell after a year or under 50k miles. Also to all biztards dont buy a for car ever, they are phasin them out so parts will be hard as fuck to come by since bo ones gonna make them for dead lines. Still not worth it IMO.

Im a automotive technician and yes ford is a hunk of plastic shit. The worst part is putting a aluminum 4 cylinder in a pussy looking van and calling it a work truck. Buy Toyota if you want a decent vehicle Honda is good too but Lexus Toyota beat the shit outta both... euro is the finest driving machine but will cost you in repairs....

I currently have an Accord.
Once I have enough side cash I'm gonna get a Supra or Miata.
And yeah fuck American cars.

My brother had an F150 from about 2010 and a Ford Edge from 2014 or so. Both were good cars, but neither had many miles on them so who knows the long-term reliability.
It seems like the Crown Vic, Town Car, Grand Marquis, Park Avenue, LeSabre, and non-northstar V8 Cadillacs from the 1990s were like the last generation of higher-end American cars in terms of reliability. All had serious quality control issues with plastic rattling, etc, but water leaks within the first 150,000 miles? Rare
USA-made is a joke for automobiles. All of the skilled labor that used to be done here is done elsewhere now. Watch a video of a GM assembly line, it's pleb-tier for the most part.

100% agree.

>be 18 year old me >finally old enough to trade stocks >obama in office >market crashes HARD (remember?) >i buy america's best, top selling automotive stock >$20k at $4.78 a share >hold for 10 years, receiving dividends, sell at $12 >tfw "why didn't i sell at $17?" >oh well, 20k to 75k is good for me.
Ironically Ford is the most Import like of all the American manufacturers

>ever buying anything American If it can be made by literally anyone else, then it will be better Only monopolistic IP trolling American companies like Intel/Qualcomm have an edge over their non-American competitors Enjoy getting cucked, amerimutt That's way worse QC and warranty than anything the big 3 ever did, enjoy your autonomous package scam
Logan Kelly
I agree, fuck Ford, I drive one but I'll probably buy a Toyota or a Honda next. RIP America.

That sucks. I've been driving mustangs all my life, and have never had any serious problems. I currently own a gt350r, which I've had no problems with, and the car has been nothing, but a blast. It sounds like you just got the shit end of the stick. What sort of stang was it?
