> Be me > 25 and graduated college a few years ago > Jump from low wage job to low wage job > Panel interview for a shit tier job but better opportunities than current job > A few red flags before the interview > Answer the questions well for the most part, unfortunately I lied some > At the end it's my turn to ask questions > It concludes > But the guy who kept asking for more details throughout decided to ask me two more questions > Grilling attempts commence > "Why are you leaving your current job?" > He said it like I owed it to them to stay longer > It's been over a year and it pays near minimum wage... > Answered it well > "Why did you leave those jobs that lasted less than 6 months?" > Part way he realizes one was a temp job > Leaving only one, which I used time and family as the reason
What is it with these wagies that outright hate it when you don't hold onto a job long term? It's as if though they sincerely believe you owe it to them.
They don't want to hire someone who will leave in three months

>go to interview for trainee job >tell them about similar experience >tell interviewer i used to get the school bus with their kids >interviewer asks them about me, they say im a good boy dindu nuffin >get job

Why would anyone want to hire someone who can't keep a job longer than 6 months? It's alot of efforting to go thru the hiring process sitting thru a bunch of autistic NEETs explain why they want the job then having to train a new person just for them to turn around and say "Bye m8 shit job".

>get email one late Friday afternoon at my boring job in Westminster >come for an assessment centre for a sales and trading job at [bulge bracket bank] in one week, answer by end of Monday! >excited as fuck >walk back in to tube station feeling like a million pounds (picture big Ben, houses of parliament, and stop Brexit man in the background; my job looked good on a CV but was boring as fuck) >be next Friday >leave my workplace at noon (I never had any work lol) >have a coffee at Waterloo station >go to assessment centre that consisted of 5 interviews or task for an internship at front office investment banking >go to a canary wharf skyscraper in area surrounded by upper class attractive people at their prestigious jobs >the other British candidates are all posher than me, typical assessment centre; everyone is an ubernormie compared to me >literally fucking nail it all, do well on all tasks and interviews >was on a Friday, got told I'd get results on Monday >go down the large canary wharf underground station gates >walk back to my workplace at 6 pm in the dark, feeling tired as hell but I had work to do (rare occasion) >load laptop at empty workplace, find out the work was cancelled >go back to flat >nervous weekend, walk around London feeling sad as usual, but hopeful >go running on Monday morning >get back to flat, sweaty as fuck >check my phone, straining a bit because I'm not wearing my glasses >get the bog fucking standard rejection email >ask them for feedback >get phoned by disinterested HR roastie few weeks later >feedback on every task was either you did well or, you did well but there was no "connection" (with the managing directors, I think it was)

Kiciker is that they seem to be a call center operation doing something speacialized. The experience is valuable to get into the field albeit not in a call center. They seem to post these jobs often and likely hire multiple people each time.
Would you honestly stay in a minumum wage job for years when you have a coollege degree in hopes of getting promoted? Or would you trying jumping to better paying jobs as this method has proven to result in higher pay than staying in one company and one position?
Lol they asked me if I knew anyone there.

All those tests yet so many jobs seem to just hire whoever they like best, irrelvant to how good they are at it. Better hope your competition isn't an attractive woman, you might not get the job simply because the manager wanted eye candy with low productivity. As long as the candidate meets the bare minimum they seem to get the job if they are more likeable or an attractive woman than the introvert who has 10 years experience.

I've been grilled before.
> Be me > Skip work to go to job testing > Pass > Get interview on a different date > Go > Get grilled for not having the specialized experience > What!? > Had they read my resume beforehand then they shouldn't have bothered calling me in > Sit there while I get grilled > MFW I'm at fault for not having specialized experience that I never said I had > MFW them not reading my resume to make sure I have this specialized experience is not their fault in their eyes
