Let's talk...

Let's talk. They are implementing uncle mining tonight if you don't know what this means it's a massive part of the puzzle for the blocktree scalability solution. It prevents orphan blocks on branches of the block chain. This alone should tell you this project is on to something. If they even pull off half of what they're attempting it's gonna change crypto forever. This shits a big deal to the future of blockchain technology.

Eth has this already

lol its socialist subsidy.. "muh block got orphaned by the big meanie with a better rig than me, ITS NOT FAIR"

Jesus christ go back to Jow Forums stupid. Uncle mining is the foundation that allows smaller branches of the blocktree to just as easily post transactions as bigger branches. It's not about mining payouts. It increases scalability potential as well as minimizes transaction fees.

It's a nice feature for the crpyto note family and I guess it might result in Pull Requests to other projects.

Ethereum is not a cryptonote coin. Essentially what this will do is allow for the flexibility of ethereum on a completely private blocktree.

I hold 100 MSR. When $100 per coin sirs?

Lul I don't know about that but a 10x is pretty much a guarentee. 100x isnt that unrealistic if they pull off their 2019 roadmap especially with fluffy leaving monero it could become the premiere cryptonote coin but that's wishful thinking.

This "feature" is not much of anything other than extra chain bloat. You don't have the issue of "Too many transactions to all go in the next block", you're just accommodating miners who pulse your network and fork your chain, and not only are you paying them but you're keeping the extra data forever. Cryptonote is fine, stop reinventing the wheel just to be doing something. This is technical nonsense for anybody who understands what's going on.

Even if you believe it's chain bloat they've already implemented bulletproofs so at worst it's offset. Which in the future it will allow for sharding and pruning which ultimately prevents what you're worried about.
