Saved up 20k Canadian dollars

>saved up 20k Canadian dollars
>2% inflation has been killing it for 4 years now
>bank takes 10 dollars a month from me
>savings account and regular tfsa account only give 0.5%
>RBC keeps trying to shill their faggot portfolios and GICs to me

What do?

hello sir have you heard of bitcoin?

Leaf here. All-in ETH is the answer

sounds like you need a solution to a problem. all in on HOLO.

Attached: 1352837457234758s.jpg (245x205, 17K)

Fuck, my piss fetish is getting really bad. I can clearly see the stream even though it's not there.

I'm tempted to just convert most of my CAD into eth, btc and USDC

CAD is gonna go to 50c USD soon mark my words

Buy their portfolios it's good to have some low risk investments that grow with inflation.

May as well at least do GICs
GICs don't ever lose money, and you at least keep up with inflation.

0.5? Tf are you saying

>lets himself get fucked for years
>What do?

Invest your money?

Agreed. I'm a Canuck myself.
Get pay cheque, send 95% to shake And convert to eth. Bank account has 100 max in it at all times, when I need money just do etransfer from shake and I'm good.

unironically. BoC can't raise rates anymore without causing a recession (how severe, depends on how overleveraged cads are(leaf here too)). toronto housing market is slowing down dramatically, people are paying for houses they cant even afford. cant refinance anymore cause prices are dropping. shitstorm brewing. will most likely have to cut rates again in the near future. or if we keep them at current levels and the US FED starts to raise rates it'll show our economy is stalling and down we go. we're basically fucked.f-u-c-k-e-d. thats also the reason im all in on HOLO.

He's delusional considering our economy.

stocks and real estate

A Canadian recession is coming

I'm the delusional one? kek. Only thing keeping CAD alive is and our dependance on the US

Lol what are you smoking bro??
The problem with them is they lock your funds for a period of time / charge for early withdrawal.
I put 40k into an rbc gic 2 years and it unlocked last month for a total gain of 2800 dollars after fees.

Invest into stawks so that you can lose 20% a year instead of 2
moar is better

All that means is you won't see people buying 10 homes throughout their lifetime.
Homes will be 35 year mortgages and that's that.
There is no recession coming to canada. You do realize we're going to be an economic powerhouse in 5 years while burgerland struggles.
Canada is going to be making money from pot being grown in other countries.
We are so good here bro you actually have no clue.
Housing rates have nothing to do with it, it just means the economy is changing and it is heading in a better direction

>2% inflation
Spotted the normie listening to talmudvision normienews. Real inflation is more about 8%.

Attached: 1519606074700.jpg (704x720, 51K)

Nice. Why should I trust shakepay?

Also watch out for the Chinese real estate investment/money laundering to slow down. Fuck if only crypto bubbles up while Toronto real estate crashes

why the fuck would you settle for 0.5% in a TFSA? are you retarded? invest that shit buy stocks

It just werks (actually does no meme). I was a bit suspect because they accept etransfers but it works great. I normally buy on shake and either withdraw to a private wallet or to Kraken for trading though.

Reminder Canada is going to collapse and holding 20,000$ in CAD is JUST asking to get JUSTed.

Based perv.

This is less risky than stocks.

Attached: trump-2020.jpg (868x189, 25K)

Canada is next to fall to socialism and the health care system isn't as great as people say it is. Wait when bik noods arrive. You think in Burgerland it's a shitshow. Canada will be the same. Same central banks own Canada so the same before and after will come.

>eqbank
>2.3% free checking account

The healthcare is terrible and its only going to get worse. It costs 50% of every provinces budget to give all those shitskins free healthcare.

On what timeline? Nothings happening for 20 years bud.

read:
Yes, in the next 20 years. The vast majority of Americans think civil war is happening in the next 5-10. Canada was 97% white in 1971, when you shift that to less than 50% white the niggers immediately start voting your shit away and then raping, slaughtering your family. See South Africa. They say whites still own more than half the stuff, das racis, oppression! Then they vote to take your shit, and your vote is irrelevant because youre white. Eventually they will just use the reasonable limits and not withstanding clauses to force whites to mix with non-whites. Go ahead and doubt it, race war soon.

Attached: canada-white-genocide.jpg (1546x220, 60K)

Not to mention the Chinese colony of Vancouver

I absolutely hate living here in Canada. Born and raised and have witnessed the brown washing. Ever sign and poster board has ((diversity)) included and I shit you not they hand out "Diversity is our strength" posters at work places and everybody eats it up! Everywhere you go there are undesirables walking around, spitting, cussing, screaming, loitering. Rent is out of this world, Food prices are no meme, taxes that make you want to rage, and you'll never find a job for the common person that pays over 40k starting. I am fairly well off and even I am struggling. I want to flee but its damn near impossible to even save up enough to cover anything...

this. I was looking at new Zealand last night. they have a 23 month visa available for us leafs if you are under 35. I'm seriously keeping it in my back pocket.

open a tangerine account, get 3% interest. let me know if you want a referal key and you get like 25$ or something.

it may also be a combination of canadian succesion movements in Quebec and Alberta.

Albertans are fucking pissed. they will not last another term of Trudeau and will push for succession if he gains power again in October. listen to peter zehains thoughts on this: nationalpost.com/news/politics/why-leaving-canada-makes-sense-for-alberta-and-u-s-would-likely-welcome-a-new-state

Thanks user, ill look into it!

>tangerine account
Reason why I'm with RBC is because of RBC direct investing possibilities and it less complicated for me to have banking and brokerage in one thing.

Does tangerine have monthly fees?
\
Website says 3% is only first 6 months

ya it goes down to like 2.75 after the first three months i think. they often have promotional offers.

tangerine has no monthly fees. its all done online, kind of like EQ bank.

here's my ref/orange key if you are feeling nice
45787280S1

their credit card aint so bad either. 2% cashback immediately on three categories, like groceries, gas, and healthcare. they have more categories then that though.

>From now until January 31, 2019, for every friend you successfully refer who opens their first Tangerine Account with an initial deposit of $100 or more using your Orange Key®, you’ll earn a Bonus of $50*, and so will they. That’s double our regular $25 Bonus!

20k * 0.98^4 - 10*12*4 = CAD$ 17967.36

you only lost ~10%
If you get 2.5% interest, you're OK

>GICs
>Sitting in cash in a TFSA

Jesus Christ, are all my fellow leafs this financially retarded?

The TFSA is a tax-free investment vehicle you moron. You grow your money in stocks and REITs, and the income, capital gains and dividends are all tax-free.

Attached: 1523621170239.jpg (300x225, 8K)

I left in 2009.

They would do the same thing as in Spain, arrest the leaders and refuse to accept any referendums.

Where did you end up?

Canada isnt spain

the operational capabilities on the Canadian forces is limited at best.

Each province is essentially its own country who does more trade in total with the US then with it's Canadian provincial neighbors.

the only exception to this would be maybe quebec and ontario.

the other provinces can conduct guerilla style boer war tactics with ease.

but we wont even get to that point since we constitutionally enable provinces to conduct referendums.

>Albertans are fucking pissed

Alberta fag here and you are correct. The PC party fucked Alberta so hard it voted in NDP as revenge. Then NDP fucked it more because it's the fucking NDP. Then Trudeau won and fucked... etc etc.

Question: What happens in the following case?
Day Job: engineer (nothing to do with finance), but I do my own DD a few times a week on stocks in potential sectors
I set aside most of my savings in a TFSA and RRSP, but have a separate TFSA that I use for trading stocks (not ETFs). Now let's say I buy a certain stock bi-weekly, but I strongly suspect it'll be bought out for ~5x. Let's say this BO does happen. I've read that the CRA is really anal about high gains in a TFSA (this is beyond retarded to me). Would this warrant being taxed as business income?

having your banking and brokerage done by the same entity actually doesn't buy you much, they're effectively separate business. The most advantage you get is that transfers between the two are faster than transferring to other institutions by about a business day.

I've heard rumors that if you TFSA account goes over 100K then it might get flagged.

but if you already have a fulltime job that's unrelated, you should be fine.

high yield savings account, IRAs, and GICs

Canada has the reasonable limits clause, they can take all your rights away and say its not reasonable to allow a province to break away. The military is strong enough to put down any local problem like that, its about the same level as Turkey in terms of spending, and Turkey has a big army.

the notwithstanding clause applies only to the charter or rights and freedoms, which is more of a contract between the government and individuals. not provincial governments and the federal government.

the succession act outlines the rules by which a province can negotiate succession from the federal government. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarity_Act

Yea its an act, the reasonable limits clause is the first thing in the charter of rights and freedoms which like the constitution is superior to all other law, except in cases of the notwithstanding clause being applied like Quebecs insane legal system and french mandatory signage laws. The reasonable limits clause is extremely vague and pretty much nullifies all other charter rights, so in case of anything bad (like secession), pull reasonable limits clause.

This too many natural resources, too many on pulse the citizens (highest % interest in tech / crypto / current issues) & too add to all that - imports.
Imports of immigrants to bolster the economy, most of the country doesnt care anymore. Theres enough room here for everyone.
Oh and tundra melt

>This too many natural resources,

Yeah, how's the economies of all those countries in Africa and South America that are rich in natural resources doing? They sure are rich aren't they?

>South America
>south africa
You dont get it. In Canada:
Whites = elites.
Elites rule over pawns.
Pawns are happy if they get fed and entertained, regardless of race.
Canada grows throughout this century, everybody happy.
Old, established money always wins (whites).
There is too much land for people to complain and compare unlike the UK.

If you're Canadian, remotely into crypto, and havent put fiat into HIVE on TSX under a TFSA account in the last 6 months, there is no help for you.

Whats their plan for the future? Says they engage in the mining and sale of crypto.
Spectfically eth, eth C & Zcash.
With ETH moving to PoS and a number of increasing, competing fiat ramp ons where do they fit in?
Im going to research & email them today

They've ramped up their asic mining, and are looking into using their gpu hardware for other gpu intensive work like AI / gaming / ML.

HIVE is shit. HUT8mining is where the money is. HUT.VN

Listen bro, I have an insider with hive and it's literally over for them.
They've lost steam and their main project was a huge failure.
They'll continue to mine but it's not going to be as juicy as once expected.

They seem super focused on mining
One to watch, I suspect their returns are correlated closely to the performance of the crypto market as a whole.
I see long term success, for investors, in how they invest their gains and not through current revenue generating methods (mining).
Thanks for sharing.

It's very correlated:

Thanks - will check it out.

>2%

Hahaha what? It's much higher than that. Prices of food have gone up 40% in less than 4 years time in EUROPE, and our inflation is reported to be only 0.1% or something ridiculous like that. Canada is off SO much worse.

Shit I am Canadian and I don’t want to be here when it collapses. Any suggested countries that are more pro white I can leave to when I make it?

Replace whites with Jew and you’re correct

Land you imbecile.
The white population is declining, there will be no havens.
The only haven you create will be your own. You need lots of land to ensure you mix with the others.
Canada has lots of land, and harsh terrain.
Can you imagine abdul and his friends trekking through the rockies to capture attack w/e your white, booby trapped, armed enclave?
This is globalism. The internet is the example, private echo chambers within an opera house. Tribal enclaves within a multicultural world.

>He's delusional considering our economy.

You're aware that GDP, which is the normie way to measure economic growth, includes GOVERNMENT SPENDING?

What this means is that Trudeau is "propping up" your economy with ridiculous amounts of money printing and importing refugees to increase spending. This has the added "benefit" of artificially driving up the housing prices by giving them away to refugees.

The moment your government can't sell its bonds because your currency is inflating too fast and the returns are too small, you're done. Funnily enough that's exactly the reason why they lie about the numbers. Omei wa shinderu, the day of the rake is already here.

Yeah, that's not how percentage calculations work bud.

(20k / 1.02^4) - 480 = 17996.91

But the real inflation is well over 10%, so buying power compared to 4 years ago is more like this, and this is a very conservative estimate mind you:

(20k / 1.10^4) - 480 = 13180.27

Lichtenstein if you manage to get in, but you could be a millionaire with a phd and not let in since they have a strange lottery system to get a permission to live there

>2% inflation
user, I...

Quads confirm global hegemony for the next century.

>"Regular TFSA"
There is no such thing. TFSA is just a designation to allow it to be tax free gains. It can be anything.

Also, as a Canadian, you should really be balls deep in weed stocks. Not doing so is just unpatriotic.

Thats some bigass asparagus

shits hot af.

Ah ze Canadian dollar and RBC

canadian miners

You have no idea what 2020 will bring

the pay is shit, housing and rent are sky high, fuck this im going to the states

>Fell for the GIC meme
>My pathetic savings are locked until 2023

You can cash out and just pay a penalty on the interest. You'll lose more waiting until 2023

same. except when I saw your post, I thought you said STEAM and thought... well he has it was worse than I do.

Yeah we're fucked up here in cucknada. We've allowed the Chinese to perform economic warfare upon us unchecked, at least in the GVA.
