Spill the beans, op, what is the shitcoin that made you?
Adam White
I worked hardware sales for 7 years which built up enough lucky cash to pay for food and other vital expenses, and then i inherited a very small cottage house to live in
hints: don't buy a house at these prices, don't buy dividend stocks until the crash happens, and for health insurance theres literally nothing they can do to make your life better if you can't fix it through diet and exercise (even appendicitis)
Luke Phillips
What is your net worth?
John Butler
not including the house (since that's cheating), $131,000. I often slept in my car to save money on rent and crashed on couches when it was -10F in boston, fucking horrible city it is
It is just barely enough to make sure all my bases are covered. Luckily my last whore of a girlfriend broke up with me before I did anything dumb like getting her pregnant or putting a ring on it
Levi Walker
health insurance doesn't stop you from being overweight but it can help you with a broken leg or some sort of disease
imo you are mixing stuff that doesn't really belong together
Nathaniel King
> 131k > "making it" Lol
Zachary Robinson
...how is it possible to escape the rat race with just 131 grand? Even living frugally I don't see how it's possible.
Robert Butler
Health insurance can protect you from shit that is 100% out of your control, like a random testicular torsion or blunt trauma from slipping on the ice.
But the costs from those surgeries/medicines are "UNLUCKY" costs, whereas diabetes is 100% fucking preventable. If you follow a proper diet, you won't get diabetes, therefore you won't need health insurance and 99% of the time you will survive life without getting a bill for 100k testicle surgery because of biology choosing you as the unlucky winner of a deadly and random condition
Nathaniel Adams
Are you faggots unable to read? I have a free house. I get several thousand in dividends every year to pay for my food and incidental expenses.
You have to be delusional if you think you need 2.7m to retire
Isaac Rivera
What about property tax, also just how big of a dividend do you get with just 130 grand invested?
Michael Hughes
Property tax is about $6,000 per year, currently paid by tenant who is a nurse making $4,000 a month so it's a pretty decent deal for her
I run my dividends pretty conservatively so I'm only pulling in $4,000 a year completely tax free off dividends. Don't have a car or any fancy shit so on $4,000 I eat pretty well.
I mean maybe at some point in the future if something changes then I will consider working as a 1099 consultant, but as it stands right now I am cash flow positive and have all of my immediate needs solidified
there is absolutely no need for me to buy a ferrari or start lavishing hoes
Bentley Sullivan
You’re retired at the bare minimum and any little market “correction” will destroy your neet life style. You need to keep accumulating so you can survive any downturns.
Nathan Flores
How are you living off of 4 grand a year? I'm a minimalist myself and I don't see how that's possible. Aren't you worried about a market crash as well as inflation?
Logan Taylor
So what are you planning on doing with your free time?
Ayden Walker
shit post on biz, talk to asian chicks on okcupid, and try to convert more people to this lifestyle so the normies don't fucking continue to make bullshit laws that make everyones life worse and unfree
if you have roughly $350 a month to spend on phone bill and groceries, you're telling me you couldn't make it work? I don't eat steak but I damn sure eat filling meals.
Rent, car payment and insurance, heath insurance, kids, wife etc are all completely absent from my bill
This is the difference between having a $5,000 household budget per month vs $500
Inflation might get me but the food i eat isn't rapidly rising in price
We will live in a scary world if Verizon and ATAT and Lockheed and etc collapse to a price lower than where I bought them in 2014
Jaxon Brooks
Honestly good for you.
You'll have to monitor your expenses constantly but the rat race is worse.
Connor Walker
>Inflation might get me but the food i eat isn't rapidly rising in price
This boy on instant noodles every day
Jordan Kelly
>$350 pm >made it wew lad
Ryan Taylor
finally my nigga seeing the light
I had a fucked up condition in my kidneys last year that finally has cleared up. all the docs saying i was gonna be on meds forever etc etc. it's all from sitting in the wage cage all day and stress eating
memes aside hope you can find enjoyment in your life bro :)
You may have escaped the rat race, but living on $350 a month is shit lmao. You can't raise a family, you can't even afford to snowboard or enjoy a nice trip to somewhere in the alps or a beach. I would understand if this was temporary, but you make it seem like it's a dream come true. What next now? Planning to open a business? Finding a wife to have some offspring($350 a month budget lol)? Don't tell me you are one of those "muh anime and video ges XD" guys?
Gavin Myers
24 here got so fucking close for a tiny moment during the bull run but hoping to be out of the wage cage by 25 or at least working for myself
Michael Peterson
Being retired doesn't mean he can't work part-time or do other shit for a little extra money. Retired means he doesn't have to be a wageslave anymore
Cooper Reed
Based and redpilled
Joshua Hughes
How did you do it
Hunter Cooper
based OP, good job >muh family >muh vacations spooks
You're welcome to take as much of a break as you think you need. As others have said, 130k isn't enough. Even if you eat Ramen from now till the end, your taxes will rise, your food expenses will rise, and you're not taking into account emergencies. You're planning on dating? Traveling? You gonna sit in your house and play with your imaginary friends and family? What you might think is fulfilling now isn't going to be the case forever. You're going to change. Hopefully you realize that before you're forced to sell the house.
Sebastian Gray
nice
now what u gonna do?
Alexander Phillips
pathetic larp. fake and gay
Kevin Morris
>hardware sales for 7 years
>I often slept in my car to save money on rent >$131,000
and you couldn't even save $20k/year... lmao
Oliver Reed
>no divorce, no wife no kids!!! good work my fellow
If you want to live in the house you cant have a tenant anymore? so have to pay the 6k per year, no?
that alone would be over 300k for like 50years, so i dont see you retiring with 130k
>for health insurance theres literally nothing they can do to make your life better if you can't fix it through diet and exercise yeah i mean nothing beats cancer better than diet and exercise, have fun dying of a minor infection because you cant afford treatment
Wyatt Jones
OP, you're a Walmart greeter in the making.
Dylan Brooks
>Walmart greeter non-american they actually have that in walmart? my fuckign sides
Noah Roberts
>living off 4 grand a year in a house you inherited
you didnt make it. you are a pathetic loser
Joshua Stewart
Its really just a sympathy position for mentally and physically disabled. Its a corporate feel good position for those folks who can't hold real jobs.
Tyler Myers
envy. i will be wagecucking at the very least 3 hours a day on average
You will be living off of 350 dollars a month? I understand that your expenses are low but that's worse than poverty tier, worse than neetbux, worse than unemployment benefits. That's absolutely sad
Luis Stewart
Happy for you OP. Now please come over Daddy and fuck me in my tight pussy.
>You can't raise a family, you can't even afford to snowboard or enjoy a nice trip to somewhere in the alps or a beach. Everything you listed is overrated. All you really need in life is shelter, internet and meditation.
Jonathan Nguyen
You will be living off of 350 dollars a month? I understand that your expenses are low but that's worse than poverty tier, worse than neetbux, worse than unemployment benefits. That's absolutely sad and you have not made it. You are one surprise emergency bill away from starving to death
It's a position created for the sole purpose of giving charity in a more dignified manner to those who need it. They give these positions to seniors and teenagers
Bentley Jones
What do you do for fun?
Nolan Evans
>131k user, i....
Dylan Watson
can girls this young looking spray milk in my face?
Benjamin Butler
Im not even mad. gg if true.
Jace Gray
I'm 27 too and was jealous until >131k motherfucker I have $191k and even with a free house I wouldn't dare try to retire on that even in the cheapest 3rd world shithole, wtf are u doing nigger
$400k is pretty much the bare minimum you can get away with and that's borderline poverty, and even then with today's valuations a massive justing is on the horizon and $400k likely won't be enough, let alone $130k. you better get a part time job at least, and figure out what that house is worth because you might be better off selling it before the housing market collapses again
Luke Wilson
wow no health insurance huh. good luck with that mate. lmfao you will be back to work in no time flat.
Cameron Torres
what's your house valued at?
Austin Morris
Personally, I lift weights, learn and shitpost on Jow Forums. But when you get to an advanced enough level, you can spend the rest of your life meditating all day and you won't need to do anything for fun.
Well average goy has 40-100k college debt 200k in mortgage 430k to get on such level I'd say user made it
Anthony Evans
I say nje
Asher Turner
Lmao@u if you think you've made it.
Sebastian Richardson
nice larp
Isaac Sanchez
You're so desperate to do nothing with your days that you're willing to live in poverty to do it. Jesus Christ. What are you going to do with all your spare time in between eating meals of top ramen?
Adam Taylor
where I live it's theft prevention. they check your receipt and shit.
Jack Campbell
Shit or Piss I guess they never Piss, huh? You got a boyfren, I bet he doesn't kiss ya He gon' find another girl and he won't piss on ya He gon' skrrt and hit the dab like Piss Khalifa You play with them balls like it's Poo Poo
I had 200k last year during crypto boom (sadly only cashed out 50k) and I didn't even think that was close to "making it". Realize there were anons who had even more than I did and they still refused to sell because they know it's not enough to retire. That money WILL run out at some point unless you have a part time job to slow down your spending so you can live off of little.
Jose Reed
ah.. how I remember thinking that way. wait till you break into your 30's.
Sebastian Butler
>, $131,000 the absolute state of Jow Forums You better jump back in the race, poorfag
William Baker
goals for this year: get Jow Forums to rid of my bitch tits fix my asthma get rid of my anxiety don't be NEET this year consolidate at 2400+ in 3v3 and 2200+ in 2v2
2019 is the year of becoming alpha and 2020 is the year of the gf !!
Haha that image is me 100% Still have 550k and been fucking off since 2013
Josiah Rogers
you will be out of money by 40 at the absolute latest
Charles Reyes
This kid knows nothing about retirement and living if he thinks that he can retire with $130k and a house. lol
Ayden Hughes
That's great OP. where did you say you lived at again?
Camden Johnson
i would say making it you need at least $5MM
Nolan Turner
you are a fucking retard
Caleb Morales
Bro your life will be Shit and lonely.
Chase Perry
Everyone in this thread is arguing the wrong point. Fucking mongs... Meh , you losers can fight each other to make your 200k as fast as possible and exit the 'rat race' Then live in your secluded barrier by yourself till you go literally insane and off yourself 2 years later. There is 0 chance, you would sustain any sort of pleasure or happiness living in a shit hut you inherited with 121k. The feeling of freedom will be gone within a month, and you'll be thinking.... heh now what
The fact your living off your dividends and not reinvesting them.
The fact you net worth is being recorded at the too of the biggest stock market bubble in history
The fact that even if nothing works you will have about 25 dollars of disposable income a week after bills and food
Jace Richardson
u can do it lad
Juan Bell
Even if you invest thats max 10k/annum, if you are in Murica thats kinda difficult, if you were in europe its barely ok.
Noah Brooks
131k liquid right now brother. i'm making 2% off high yield checking accounts. cashed out at the top. waiting for the crash to buy some cheap ass blue chips. They were paying me $75 a week in dividends averaged out but I called the top and got the fugggout
Charles Ortiz
Jealous wagecucks in a bucket mentality
Angel Cox
Congratulations; I'm 27 as well and think this is also very likely for me within the next 6 months so I've been in an extremely good mood lately. Here's to you my friend
Cameron Nelson
If he is in dividend growth stocks you don't need to reinvest them.
Idk what Wal-Mart is like, but in Australia a few of our bigger chains have a greater and honestly it doesn't seem like that shit a job. They check bags of people not leaving by registers, direct people to the department they're after and just generally help people out, especially older people. Considering we have a decent retail wage structure here thanks to a bloated and powerful union, it wouldn't be too bad a job for a semi-retired wagie with some extra income from passive sources.
Aaron Hughes
meanwhile in USA its basically like 10/hr no overtime pay no benefits and the rent is your entire month's pay for nigger tier housing
in the USA, if you have a house, it NEVER pays to work below 20 usd per hour
