Exactly, Jow Forums has been an amazing source for making great investments if you're able to filter out the nonsense. Jow Forums called HOT, LINK, RLC, QNT, and CHX when it was a lot lower actually. If you lurk you should definitely be able to make some decent gains with Jow Forums + a bit of research + a bit of luck

Honestly I think it can mainly be done by checking a project's team, whether the project solves an important problem and whether there is good progress both technologically and in terms of partnerships that's being made. Example with LINK: Pivotal tracker lets you see in real time what's being done and the roadmap. Github is active. Smartcontract.com active since around 2014. Project solves a fundamental problem. Strong partnerships have been made (and many were predicted before official annoucements via 'breadcrumbs'). Strong tem with people like Ari Juels, Evan cheng and Adelyn Zhou.
Not everything has to fit, but if you find enough conclusive evidence with a relatively low mcap it's probably a good shill.
Relevant to this thread about CHX, the OWN team has a ton of experience in the securities industry, you can check Sacha's background and see the AMAs. Their use case is solid and the mcap is still low. If that's not enough for you, fair, but by the time more info gets released (or not, who knows, maybe it's a scam after all), expect the price to be higher
