I'm considering doing this in the next 12 hours. I'll be commentating as I go along, what my thoughts are, how I plan to structure it etc.
Obviously it'll involve a lot of programming and technical stuff. If you're interested in learning a bit more about how to do this yourself, and not bet on meme crypto (I'll go over why that's retarded) then follow me on Twitter and I'll announce when it goes live.
>inb4 just loads something in jupyter notebook and uses a precanned algo from some library nigger
Xavier Young
I've worked for a "fondsmæglerselskab" (hedgefund) before quitting because I didn't wanna write code for someone else and is in the process of applying for a license to run my own.

make a predictive model for League of Legends (pro games only), I am curious how you would go about it.
Gabriel King
wow congratulations on using a library, you are SO SMART
Connor Harris
curious, what programming languages/tools did you use at your job?
Julian Turner
Followed.
Connor Garcia
C for speed and CUDA calculations. C# for data aggregation and archiving. Then we had a bunch of internal tools for graphing for manual analysis.
Jacob Lopez
these days people just use python for data aggregation/processing and python libs that have C bindings to do cuda processing. Get with the times grandpa
David Martin
General question: Do you want me to look into, and describe/demonstrate how to find predictive models on traditional stocks, or cryptocurrency?
Again, follow me on Twitter as it's the best way to broadcast the link: twitter.com/0xdeadcab
Alternatively subscribe to this rather empty channel where I'll stream it: youtube.com/channel/UCs5d_uAb5x4FnZDyt-SnR6g
(Youtube requires a 24 hour wait after confirmation to enable streaming, that's why it'll occur tomorrow.)
It's a good chance to learn some very expensive lessons for free.
Daniel Flores
Read Flashboys, look into how Python "compiles" (massive overhead) and rethink that statement.

ill be watching but don't be gay ok?
Bentley Moore
I promise not to be homosexual.
Colton Bailey
This sounds lame I’m watching some girl whores on twitch

Sounds like you're gonna be rich one day. I'm guessing you're gonna donate too so she says your name, which will give you enough material to jack off for atleast 4 days?
or I could continue to work on my own project instead of watching a pozzed 'hedgeshmorgishborgbackwardsletters fund employee' work on an example project and say condescending things to me. Then tell me not to trade crypto and open some boomer margin account and pay 100/month in random data fees like the one my dad wrecked my family with back in '09 with any luck your commie government over there in nordcuckistan will shut off your internet for posting here.
I'm a very nice person, I'd never say condescending things.
I'm 21 years old, hardly a boomer. I got the job at the hedgefund while studying, and then I quit school and started working htere fulltime because of a job offer. I decided I didn't want them to own my code which seemed to predict better than 50.1% chance, so I made my own little company.
I'll follow a thread if you want to elaborate on here. I'm interested in why you would say to avoid crypto trading. I have no idea why you would want to do it on youtube.
Ayden Cooper
neato, im 20 myself and want to hopefully get to that ability one day. How did you start?
Christopher Wood
I'll probably create another thread tomorrow. Because Twitch is primarily gaming focused - I know you can privately stream/offtopic stream, but I have more experience with YouTubes reliability.
I've been interested in finance and math since I was 10. I picked up Visual basic to start off with, and from there it evolved. I have whiteboards filled with formulas and ideas on how I can get an edge over the stock market. Persistance user, persistance. A man is what he thinks of all the time, and for you, that's hopefully money and your potential girlfriend.
Watch the stream and I'll elaborate.
0xdeadcab on Twitter.
John Murphy
I meant why steam video at all when you can just make a thread here. What you want to talk about is going to hold little interest for general audiences.
I'm gonna try to make it as educational as I can. You're never gonna get anywhere in life if you don't acquire new skills. Programming is definitely one that should be on everyones to-do list.
Not saying that. This comment was specifically meant for this board. It would greatly benefit you to have a prewritten algorithm do the work for you instead of spending countless hours in Excel (I'm not bashing excel, it's useful for some things).
I really don't understand the negativity. I was offering some free insight into how algorithmic trading is done - why are people so angry at that?
I don't spend hours in excel because I don't trade equities and try to read tea leaves in exogenous data.
Leo Cox
humble reminder that all the predictive models are astrology-like bullshit since not all factors are known or weighted properly.
In other worlds, any predictions about partially observable stochastic phenomena is fucking bullshit. Astrology with numbers instead of stars and planets.
But go on, of course. There will be never a shortage of idiots. This is my prediction.
Daniel Powell
I think you'll be surprised by the software I've written. I'm not investing in traditional stock.
Owen Cook
But yeah, keep an eye on youtube.com/channel/UCs5d_uAb5x4FnZDyt-SnR6g
And I'll explain a rather unorthodox way of making a good wad of cash for people who aren't in charge of other peoples money (fund managers), but simply wish to increase their personal wealth, which I'm guessing is the case for more people here.
>I was offering some free insight >free That's what makes it suspicious. If you're so busy with your own projects to become rich, why would you waste your precious time to educate a bunch of losers on a Kyrgyz embroidery newsletter? What do you gain out of it?
Not saying that i trust OP or predictions in general, but you sound biased. Even insurance companies don't know all factors (nobody can) whne they insure something, but they still manage to make money. Renaissance Technologies uses only model-based trading (no human decision-making) and they make more money than Soros' Quantum Fund. Most of their people are outsiders who come from fields other than finance, so don't tell it's just insider trading.
Jayden Walker
he eventually hopes to be able to fill your mouth with advertisers semen. But he's going on the wrong path by not picking a less autistic subject. Here are some ideas for how to become a jewtube star: >teach viewers your native language (cuckish?) >extreme political commentary. nazi or communist. >overeating >An attractive female.
Easton Diaz
I take time off. I have designated work hours in the day (sometime they bleed into the night), but I take time off.
This was intended to be a stream for my off time. Didn't that Martin Shkreli guy do the same thing?
yes and he will be in prison for some time due to being an unabashed attention whore.
Jaxon Scott
>I take time off And you have nothing better to do than livestream for autists? Sounds like a lot of work; why would you work on livestreaming in your time off? Shouldn't you rather rest or go out or something? Isn't there anything to do in Denmark or wherever else you live?
>Didn't that Martin Shkreli guy do the same thing? I wouldn't take a convicted criminal as a role model.
>inb4 he was innocent
He still got sentenced, so he is a loser.
Adam Smith
I read he got arrested for illegally defrauding investors by raiding his company and repay them. It had nothing to do with livestreams.
Keep being poor then, my net worth is more than you'll ever make. I'll livestream for the few that are interested.
Charles Gutierrez
>I read he got arrested for illegally defrauding investors by raiding his company and repay them. It had nothing to do with livestreams. I was just saying he is a felon, never said anything about his streams. I would still not use him as a model if I were you.
>Keep being poor then, my net worth is more than you'll ever make. I'll livestream for the few that are interested. So as soon as someone questions your motives and your behavior you get defensive and flash your alleged wealth in front of your computer screen as if that means you won the argument? And here I thought you were a nice person.
>I'm a very nice person, I'd never say condescending things.
Jaxon Cruz
Please do, i think these guys have the right intentions attacking you but regardless its unproductive,
Joseph Peterson
That's a pretty naive way to look at it. Losing his case was the proximal cause for his current situation. In reality his indictment would have remained sealed indefinitely if he just disappeared from the eyes of the public. It turns out that trying to make a fool out of congressmen on national tv, and inciting people to get dna samples from hilary clinton is a bad idea if you want to keep doing business in the US.
how did you manage to land an internship? Good gpa? Will be a freshie as math undergrad this year, dont know what to focus on

will the video stay up on youtube after the stream? if i cant make it to watching it live then would want to watch it in the future.

OP I appreciate what you are trying to do. I never learnt any coding or programming, but I wanna learn solidity just to be able to write smart contracts. I have literally zero previous expereince. What do you suggest a brainlet like me start with? The only reason I wanna learn solidity is for smart contracts. Should I just start with solidity or do something else. Literal brainlet. Thank fren
Okay, so a 4 hour stream about programming may be boring, so here's what we'll do. When YouTube allows me to stream (10 hours left) I'll give 5 random viewers 100 USD each on PayPal (I'll cover the 5% fee). If you can prove that you turned that 100 USD into 150 USD then you win 1000 USD. Not a joke.
