Hello.
I'm not interested in making an immediate profit per-se, I want to invest in a cryptocurrency for the next decades, in the case that fiat goes to shit.
Bitcoin isn't quite trustworthy for me, since countries and large companies/groups basically own it as of now, since they own all the processing power and mining facilities (China and exchanges) and it's controlled by banks and large institutions.
I was wondering between monero, ethereum or any other altcoin, but my choosing criteria is absolute privacy, security and a minimal guarantee it'll be around in the next decades and it won't be controlled by large institutuions.

why BTC? It's already controlled by large institutions, if they decide to crash it or tamper with it, they have the ability to do so, since they control all the ASIC farms.

I do understand most about the technical aspect of btc, that's why I'm sure its original goal of being decentralized is totally over, which is the reason I'm interested in more "free" (as in freedom) coins.
