Retard user doesn't know DOT Drug tests are random and some of the most stringent in the U.S. due to 1% of truckers in the 80s and 90s traveling for literal days on cocaine and meth. Those truckers no longer drive because they dont have licenses.
Most truckers are actually super nice guys and friendly as fuck with families. The moment you show them you actually give a shit about getting them loaded since most are paid by the load.
Have gotten some lbs of deer meat and other shit from truckers because of this. Friendly dudes. 1 in 100 are assholes and get treated as such.

A lot of time, truckers are the first to the scene of an accident or breakdown. Good luck getting an automated truck to call an ambulance or a tow truck.

One place I picked up at said I was the only driver they'd ever seen read the notice on the door, then go back and get safety glasses before entering the warehouse. Not saying that I'm particularly hot shit or don't make dumbass mistakes, but the bar is not set that high.
In North Dakota, at the peak of the oil boom, they were hiring anybody with a pulse. The sand and water truck drivers were the dumbest ones because they couldn't get certified to haul anything overweight or hazmat. I suspect that many of them didn't even have CDLs by the way they backed up their trucks.

This is my current plan. Get out of debt, have enough in reserve to buy a good secondhand truck outright, then work 3 days a week. Bring in about 50 geand a year, and try to enjoy life a little.
