IT here, if i want to specialize in sec jobs, what do I need to learn? (security+ was pretty general but i got it)

If you didn't start learning how to code and use linux during middle school, then you will never get a job in the tech industry and might as well pursue some other degree.

Infosec is the ultimate blackpill. Everything is FUBAR.

look into pen-testing, eze money. No need to sniff my pre-cum later.

What is blackpill?

beating your head against a wall trying to intercept passwords all while remaining undetected by IDS/IPS is not easy.

Stay stupid then

IT only hire from unis
Nobody cares about self learning

fellow infosec big brain. what's the pill user? gimme some inspiration since I'm new grad fag

I don't understand the question.

That’s not true... and even if it were kids that were doing that in middle school still have to pursue degrees

If you learned so much then you should be able to recommend a simple book to an user.

The blackpill is that with enough time and resources, nothing on the internet is private. You cannot eliminate residual risk. The internet in its current form is tearing society apart. It was never built with privacy in mind. I think that ransomware is only the beginning. I think that blackmailware, extortionware, kidnapware, murderware, rapeware, are all possible with AI/blockchain technology. I noticed a large increase in cryptomining malware during the bull run. I think that this will happen again when the next bullrun hits. You won't just be trying to secure your IT systems from nation states, cyber mafias, three letter agencies, or gifted individuals, you will also have to secure them against AI Threat Actors. I think that at a certain point the cost to maintain and secure the systems will be more than the value that they provide, and you will need to just decommission your systems to stay secure. I think this is happening already. Companies are now decommissioning applications that are non-compliant, as non-compliant apps are too great a risk to an organization, if they are only going to get bricked by malware and all of the data on them stolen and used against you.

Wow

want to kms now

The whitepill is that I have hope that the internet will be replaced by the Metanet, and that all of the applications will be hosted there instead. I think that the internet needs to be overhauled, but there is a plan to do that.

Hi Craig. Have you done something about the CP on the SV blockchain?

>paying for an education that you could have gotten for free reading phrack
lamer

An other reason why our mode of production is obsolete.

If a great technology like the internet cannot express it's full potential because individuals will try to make $$ stealing data, then the problem is not the internet, the problem is money in itself.

On the internet, people 'steal data' for shit and giggles and to stir trouble. The problem is fun/power hierarchies itself. Those have to be eliminated.

ai trying to hack other ai. the true singularity is here. see you in the matrix

You mean like Urbit senpai?

Are there any comfy remote cyber security jobs? I have a degree in it but work in a different industry for some reason

I've just started a cs degree at 28 with no prior knowledge and I will graduate user

I'm a millennial boomer who started college before 2008, we were all told to follow our dreams. Now I'm doing a phd in barista studies and paying 97% of my income in rent.
