Do all the tedious electric work yourself.. Do all the cable pulling yourself, cable is expensive as fuck as Home Depot but much MUCH cheaper than having the electricians be in your attic drilling holes through 2x4 to move cable.. you can do all this yourself. Even installing outlets and switches is not hard, you can google this stuff.
Have the electrician come in at the end and do a basic inspection and walkthrough in the end and let him handle the breaker box stuff.
