Redpill me on Graphic design jobs

agree, but to avoid speaking out my arse i got to admit i have no experience in the design industry nor know anyone that has, but to extrapolate from incomplete data my conclusion would be that the design industry is not a golden goose egg, just like a STEM degree wasnt, or just like how a banking job wasnt, or how a lab position wasn't, etcetera etcetera ad infinitum, it all looks comfy and promising until you actually get it and realize it is shit.

fuck this gay ass thread, give us sauce instead

someone must've shown them by now. when you get that deluded with dis-morphia you generally don't give a shit anymore though

>you will make way more than developers
Not really. I'm a UI designer and I make half of what the devs make.

Theres a fuckton of jobs in my area, literally more get added every week.

Post more phat butt asians

That sucks, really. In my area they're paid around 1.25~1.5x what devs make.
I guess it also depends on your experience and who you're working for.

It really depends on how good you are.
I've been making around 90k as a graphic designer for a big pharmaceutical company, but it was mostly creative work, not just creating pictures per second.
But I know of lots of people that just photoshop almost porn for car salesmen ads and live in poverty.
Overall, of you're creative, first and foremost creative, you will make it. If you just learn the skill, the skill itself isn't very valuable.
