I wish i was l337 h4x0r

YOU CAN'T FUCKING LOG IN TO REMOVE FUNDS.

He stole from the wallets, not the website, you brainlet. And thats considering it is not an exit scam

How do you remove funds from a wallet that has to be accessed through the cryptopia website?

>what are private keys

Help a brainlet out here.
If I have coins on Cyrptopia how do I get them off?
I wasn't given a private key? Just addresses to deposit and withdraw?
Pls no bully.

Cryptopia has the private keys
Someone hacked Cryptopia and managed to get the private keys
Cryptopia doesn't seem to have the private keys anymore

When you're withdrawing you're sending coins to another address. In order to send coins you have to use the private key associated to your address. When you hit withdraw on Cryptopia, Cryptopia is doing the job for you and using the private key associated to your address to send your funds

Ultimately you don't really own the coins on an exchange because you don't own the private keys, the exchange does

> hacked
> hacked
> not realizing its an inside job like every other "hack"

From now on, if you are just holding and not actually trading just keep your coins in your own wallets.

Thanks guys- thought there was some way to get the stuff off the exchange.
Yep, what a nightmare.

Someone has the private keys to the cryptopia wallets.

You can fire up a $200 chromebook, load myetherwallet, enter the private keys and move millions and there isnt a thing cryptopia can do about it.

The bigger question is why didnt the brain dead fuck wads move the funds that werent stolen into a multi-sig, air gapped cold storage wallet?

How do they steal ETH off exchanges like that?

>it appears that the exchange’s users continued to deposit funds into compromised wallets

Get the private keys
>Call exchange
>*Rostie secrary anwsers* Cryptopia how may I direct your call
>Hello miss I am calling from the tax office, I was given you private key to monitor transactions, Its just that I am missing a digit out of the private key can you help me?
>Sure, gives the whole private key out

What are cold wallets?
what is crypto wallet?
how do you access crypto wallet?
priv-keys, you dumb dumb
Exchanges keep all people coins in few wallets, wallets have keys.
Steal the key, steal coins.
HOW STUPID IS THIS GENERATION?

>private keys please learn how they work or never touch crypto

Anyway, I probably have there some traces of 2$ worth of LTC.
well, Jow Forums always is told, your keys your coins.
Also, just a reminder, I will repeat myself again, few months ago few of my accounts there where tried to break in. Those emails where never ever used anywhere else.
It was inside job.

lol
