Litecoin uses shorter blocktimes, which is bad. They also still capped the blocksize.
Litecoin actuall did have a window of opportunity to take over but they did nothing. Now we have BCH (well, BSV nowadays) and it's too late for litecoin.

BCH has the most characteristics laid out in the Bitcoin whitepaper, as BSV has far lower hash rate. So obviously BCH. And this brand doesn't matter, it's the adoption that matters and its going up on BCH and down on everything else.
0-conf is secure enough for medium sized transactions. Block time is pretty much just an arbitrary number. If you and everybody else owns Bitcoin for making money or some ridiculous greater fool theory you are literally admitting to owning it for being a ponzi scheme. Good luck with that but I don't think it will last long.
