With the constantinople coming out this should be a huge buy signal no? Wasn't word of ethereum switching to proof of stake what brought it up from 80 to 160?
They're finally ready to release ethereum 2.0 on feb 26th. I would assume smart money will start buying it up to stake passive income and what not.
Also, scalability is coming along nicely...I think we're due for a bounce soon yeah? The fundamentals look perfect for ethereum right now. We could see it double soon.
Or should I wait for BTC to find a bottom. I feel like BTC is going to take another dump soon.
Oliver Rodriguez
its a scam. I bought 10 of these at $1300. Over a year ago. What have they done so far? lets see
>...
Wow, its fucking nothing. Nothing improved with the network. They couldnt even upgrade "constantinople" on time, which is a literal nothingburger upgrade. fuck this fucking peice of shit and fuck vitalik
Colton Anderson
>bought at height of speculative bull run >"it's a scam" Ethereum functions as advertised. You got burned by the market, not by the product you bought.
You are very stupid and you WILL buy the top again.
Joshua Taylor
the delayed constantinople fork is coming, not 2.0. It's not even in testnet, which doesn't mean much. Casper had a testnet and they had to take it back to the drawingboard. Plasma's been in testnet for months and it's only been falling harder and faster. anyways, my buy orders for ETH are set for $75 and $50.
Luke Evans
It doesn't scale and is worse than centralized databases.
Ask yourself why a company is going to use something that costs more in storage and bandwidth because they're sharing the same block chain as one with crypto kitties on it.
Daniel Scott
Yes. It's going to 20x.
Charles Rivera
eth is nothing more than a double digit shitcoin
Nolan Cruz
ETH 2.0 IS NOT THE COMING UPDATE, THE COMING UPDATE IS TRULY MINOR
Julian Morales
passive income is literally lower than the 10 year treasury bond rate no "smart money" is going to buy into it
Ian Turner
Yeah its gonna dump to 2.6k to 2.2k range within next few days
Ryan Williams
it seems every thing is dependent on btc ?
which i am a fan of but think its going lower...
Ethan Thomas
Who let the normies in?
Aiden Fisher
Long term I think it is one of the best buys, it is almost as much used as BTC and has a bigger development community, and it has far more features yet not quite but almost the same level of decentralization and security. IMO it deserves around the same marketcap as BTC. The only unknown is whether or not it will deliver the eventual scaling upgrades with PoS and sharding.
Short to medium term I don't think crypto as whole is still in a bear market or at least going flat for a while, though.
Jaxon Foster
Is 40 ETH enough to make it?
Matthew Allen
It’s used more than BTC brah
Owen Bennett
you're basically a retard. ETH is not aiming to be a SoV or new money, it'd purely a DApp and smart contract platform. If it erxceeds BTC, BTC fails then all of crypto will go into fucking meltdown.
Matthew Phillips
I dunno, it's hard to say exactly. It has more raw transactions, but it has fewer active addresses making those transactions. It is also less mainstream, everyone knows that bitcoin is but far fewer have heard of ethereum.
Yes, the magic number is 32 ETH because that is enough to stake once PoS comes out
Yes, and so? I think a dapp platform is more useful and thus will be valued just as much or more than merely a money or store of value platform that is less popular. Just because something is focused on money, doesn't mean it is inherently worth more than something that is not, and that the world will implode if it dares drop below anything else in market cap.
Jeremiah Powell
> Also, scalability is coming along nicely..
Lmao all still a bunch of ideas on paper with no idea if any of it will work and at best not likely until 2020
Yes coming along very nicely
Adrian Powell
Yes.
Austin Ramirez
aim for 64 eth to be part of the first pos spec
Matthew Reed
ignores the fact that ETH development has come to a standstill because the codebase is a poorly planned shitshow and the dev process is a total clusterfuck. ETH is failing, it is a sinking ship now and vitalik is resorting to copying from other projects now and hoping to tape their ideas onto his rolling lemon. the era of ICOs is over and shitty undcalable ETH has nothing else of value to offer. say it with me...
UNSCALEABLE C A L E A B E
Cooper Powell
>once PoS comes out t. redditor who is unaware of the fact that vitalik does not know how to design much less implement POS on ETH. he does not know how. the same goes for sharding. they are fucking pathetically lost and just throwing out hopium buzzwords to stave off desertion of the platform. 3-4 YEARS retards... that isthe earliest for POS. that means never.
Christopher Ross
They have made tremendous progress in the last couple of years. Of course they started out not knowing how to do it, that's how cutting-edge innovation works. But more and more of the puzzle pieces are falling into place at such a pace that there is no reason not to believe they will make it. Progress hasn't stalled at all.
ETH is still the obvious choice of blockchain for any serious project. If you’re developing smart contracts you need certain properties. ETH has those properties. Larger market cap, more users, more security, more decentralised than any of its competitors.
But good on them for trying. We need lots of blockchains in this world. I don’t care who wins as long as the BEST ONE WINS. And currently ETH is the best one.
