Wake up before you are supposed to and then go back to sleep. Works for me quite often.

Example. 8 hours. Sleep 5 wake up and go back to sleep. If those 3 hours are split into smaller pieces it also works well. 30 min chunks. Very weird dreams usually, many times lucid. Night of drinking before helps too
