If you're trading U.S. equities then you're trading the most rigged, and I mean literally rigged market, that may have ever existed and actually tried to pass itself off as legitimate. Certainly a top contender. You need to trade indexes, futures, and things of that nature where even though there's a lot of manipulation, it's sort of a "standard" manipulation. It's actually playable. Trading individual U.S. equities is legitimately impossible over the long term by design because too many peasants got rich in the dotcom boom and then too many of the nobility got their fee fees hurt in the global financial crisis. Any meaningful volume gets done off market so you're basically just playing in a sandbox of shit specially designed for you and the rest of the peasantry and the only time any meaningful player is going to enter in is when they're there to slaughter you.
