Ok, lets have a talk

According to the Jow Forums mainstream, IOTA is not gonna make it. Why? Devs assure that the problem of double spending via malicious botnet is kinda solved. On the other side, mesh-nets are really promising stuff.

Lol, ur money is gone

IOTA is already too big to fail, even if the current technology fails, the many competent people working for the foundantion will find a solution

not yet. I'm just considering to bag some iota

>Devs assure that the problem of double spending via malicious botnet is kinda solved.
I'll believe it when I see it. Especially with the Iota devs.

As far as I know, that attack is still be just a hypothesis. Nobody has performed it yet. That alone sounds persuasive

tangleblog.com/2017/07/10/is-double-spending-possible-with-iota/

Waiting to see it work in practice with no coordinator

What coordinator are you talking about?

Dumb niger you can’t even spell “your” so shut the fuck up

Posts 2017 article. user you must be mentally challenged

Because the discord whales and entities funding psyops here do not have sizable enough stacks to profit from trading in it. IOTA was initially accumulated OTC and was under the radar. Our whales would have to make others into whales to acquire a sufficient stack and the act of doing so would disturb our little bullshit game of musical chairs.

Meanwhile industry and academia continue to work with the protocol and create innovations that will support use cases for the currency.

>Devs assure
The devs also exaggerated each and every "partnership".
They also banned each and every critic instead of answering to criticism in a constructive way.
They also tried to astroturf several times.
They also might have the most toxic followers in the whole cryptosphere.
Their decentralized network runs on a single "coordinator".
The security holes in their code is "placed on purpose".

"Solving the problem" would mean shutting down the company and killing the devs.

>academia
Kek, which ones?
Renowned cryptographers criticized IOTA time and time again.

IOTA is a longer term (decades) trade because its reliant on hardware that doesn't exist. If they really get specialized crypto miners put into cars and fridges and they become adopted like dedicated graphics then IOTA will be huge. If not they will force it into certain brands and it will become a shitty proprietary enterprise version of something better and more adopted but still make moderately big gains.

But why would you wait 10 years when you can just margin short shitcoins today and keep a thread tied to IOTA news for later

this.
Step 1, Iota says we are going to run on "ternary" hardware instead of "binary" hardware that people have been using for over 50 years and that all of computer tech is based on.
Step 2: get criticized for this stupidity.
Step 3: Iotards explain that everyone else is wrong

Step 4: we are going to "roll our own" cryptography solution, because we are smarter than the geniuses who invented public key cryptography
Step 5: get criticzed for it and someone, not surprisingly, finds a flaw
Step 6: explain "jokes on you, we were only pretending to be retarded" and in fact claim that they PUT THE FLAW IN ON PURPOSE so they could if people copied it (like old map makers used to put minor flaws in a map in order to catch copiers)
Step 7: threaten people with lawsuits who mention the above
Step 8: be fucking retards who should STFU.
Step 9: wonder why biz hates Iotards.

>They also might have the most toxic followers in the whole cryptosphere.
Mostly agree with this, but the Rippletards would like a word...

Skytards are the worst, hands down.

Stinky linkies tho lol

the flaw was

Step 1: give your private keys to someone
step 2: they can change transaction before sending

> brainlets too retarded to see every crypto has this "flaw"

Itt butthurt idiotas that lost their wifes sons money

>kinda solved
They either solved it or they didn't. There's no such thing as ''kind of solved''. This is what you get when you hire SJWs for developers

>itt Jow Forums brainletss hate on IOTA because they are simpleton brainletss ?

>Devs assure that the problem of double spending via malicious botnet is kinda solved
lmao what? Was that a problem? What a sack of shit

nice summery, but ...

>public key cryptography
... it is called asymmetric cryptography.

you talking to a fucking mouth breathing brainlet

i tried trolling the retards on r/iota, but they are so stupid they don't get it. they have no idea about the technology.

jesus. the IoT shit alone is so fucking retarded.

hey check it out:

reddit.com/r/Iota/comments/apzpk3/can_iota_be_used_without_internet_for_example_via/

a tard asked if iota can be used over satellites. :-D and someone from their team said they will look into it X-D

Actually it was a collision, which is a fundamental flaw in the cryptography. Secondly, it was a collision that took the team investigating it like a day to find. Theoretical attacks are very serious in cryptography, it is a serious field. Something that is "theoretical" now may become a major problem in the near future.

Wasn't this the coin that tried to roll their own crypto despite community protests?

you fucking mouth breathing brainlet idiot it's not a coin it's machine-to-machine utility token.

95% of the shit that went through the last bull run is NEVER coming back. Try and understand. There's a new generation of projects that are actually being used.

lol try naming one project that remotely close to what IOTA has accomplished or project that has bigger and better team than IOTA you nostril self fucking asperger

Lol stick talking about 2017 coins, and high caps ones too kek. Tip: focus on upcoming coins with low marketcap for maximum profit.

They have accomplished literally nothing. A "partnership" is not an accomplishment.

>has no FOAM
>thinks he's gunna make it

IOTA is coin by retards for retards

I sold my IOTA for Stellar based on the FUD
My Stellar then dropped 70%
Easily the worst move I've made so far

youtube.com/watch?v=jvPsIC1fNig

>>public key cryptography
>... it is called asymmetric cryptography.

>what are synonmymous terms?

“Asymmetric cryptography, also known as public key cryptography, uses public and private keys to encrypt and decrypt data. ””
searchsecurity.techtarget.com/definition/asymmetric-cryptography

And the Iota team then kind of threatened the outside team of researchers that found the flaw.

bitcoinist.com/iota-threatens-researchers-and-denies-critical-flaw-but-fixes-it-anyway/

And note the fuckheads in this very thread who can’t cite to any ACTUAL evidence that Iota is anything but a shit show, and instead just throw insults around.
