According to the Jow Forums mainstream, IOTA is not gonna make it. Why? Devs assure that the problem of double spending via malicious botnet is kinda solved. On the other side, mesh-nets are really promising stuff.

As far as I know, that attack is still be just a hypothesis. Nobody has performed it yet. That alone sounds persuasive
