Jow Forums has made me a ridiculous amount of money which has set my up financially for at least the next ~5 years if I am not retarded with it.
As I was once a filthy newfag and had to figure out how to trade cryptos by myself. I will help any new fag that have questions about anything. Ask away, I will give you the most honest and accurate answers possible
I am doing this only once and then I am off of this board for the foreseeable future
If trade, what are your most effective strategies, what resources would you recommend for beginners, and what advice would you give to those starting out?
Aiden Wright
okay so what the fuck are you going to do retard?
Mason Long
inb4 he never returns
Dominic Clark
what newfags need to understand about Jow Forums is that the most shilled projects either have huge bagholders trying to palm off their bags at a reasonable price OR the projects shilled here have huge potential. To /makeit/ it really is a game of chance, you can research all of the fundamentals all you want but you are still at the mercy of the market at the end of the day. There are some quick pnd scams that roll through almost weekly (think CHX, LTO etc.) that you can make a good chunk of money with as long as you don't get too greedy. Hope that answers your question
Legitimate moonshots come through very rarely, for example I got in on BTT at 11 sats, although kinda high, I sold at the top 3x in a matter of days. That could be seen as a moonshot, but really its just over hype JUSTING retarded investors. Just DYOR and you can sift through 99% of the shit but you can still make mistakes (which I have on a few occasions)
got started early 2015ish biggest money maker by far was ETH, got in at $9 at the end of 2016
I have confidence in LINK but its not a sure thing. I think a reasonable price for EOY is $10-$15 if their github stays active and positive. If by some miracle mainnet releases smoothly, it could be much higher.
Zachary Lewis
I both trade and hold, having discipline to know when to hold and when to sell your bags is fundamental to making money in this space. It can't really teach you, as it comes from kinda a gut feeling you get after staring at charts for hours and hours.
Resource wise, learn very basic TA, it can be helpful for identifying basic trends and can inform your decision making process. But dont get to into the TA meme because it gets to a point of diminishing returns (everyone thought BTT was gonna pump yesterday because 'muh cap and handle') Other than that, understand that basics of what you're buying, it gives you more confidence when you experience a red day across your portfolio
Brody Reyes
i'm mid 20s in a first world country. I have bought a few /makeit/ items such as my dream car but after that I dont know. Maybe go back to uni for my MBA but I haven't worked that out yet
David Anderson
What bags do you hold now? Which one is the heaviest?
Elijah Campbell
I can give you a more in depth beginners guide, as I have written notes while learning the process myself. Give me your email and I'll see what I can do
Levi Taylor
you sound like another new fag trader boi. guaranteed you fuck it up. and start from scratch. only way to keep winning is to help no one else.
Grayson Taylor
I have some LINK, some BTC (but I believe it will dump another 10-15% before any significant gains will be made) and I hold some ETH but I'm not confident which way it will go when the fork happens.
I also have around 10k diversified among 6 shitcoins that could make me even more comfy but if I lose it, it isn't that big of a deal
Angel Hughes
i've already won, Jow Forums has made me rich and i'm done with my days of staring at screens and reading whitepapers etc. If I can help a few of my Jow Forums bros make it then i think it is my duty to do so
Tyler Harris
All an mba will do is teach you how to be a high corporate performer Take a quarter of your money, buy a triplex, and cement your status as a neet entrepreneur for life
Carter Thompson
im mainly thinking about doing an MBA for the connections. You don't make many influencial friends sitting on your ass trading crypto all day
Brody Cooper
In this case, how do you like my wishlist?
Dero Rlc Hydro XMR And lastly zil
I already have over a btc and a link sucicde bag
Zachary Gonzalez
If I was going to do mba, I would do entrepreneurship mba. (If it was cheap enough) At least the classes would be fun and the colleagues would be interesting.
Eli Brown
You will never make it lol Just KYS
Ryder Cook
rlc has some promise but there are a few competitors in decentralized computing that could ruin them.
XMR is a safe bet with the increased government perversion in a regular individual's life, people will want to shield their money
ZIL could make you very rich, considering if its adopted
For the others I don't know, I haven't done enough research to tell you conclusive answers I feel confident sharing
Lucas Turner
Tell me, are you rich? My sources say no. Enjoy your 100k debt bags for a paltry 10k wageslave pittance increase. I’ll spend my 10 years somewhere else enjoying life cheaply, with some freedom.
Can’t come soon enough
Angel Parker
out of interest, how what is the ballpark value of your current holdings? If you don't feel confident sharing here just drop me your email and we can talk more (or discord)
Jeremiah Myers
dont be a nigger, listen and you might just learn something
Jason Bell
Thanks for your reply, not sure I understand how to properly identify scams though, seems like that word gets thrown around all the time here... I mean what makes you think CHX or LTO are scams?
Nathaniel Martin
Thank you for this thread. I'm currently the Technical Analysis of financial markets guidebook. Would very much appreciate seeing your notes as I write up my own. Please send to [email protected] if you're legit.
Samuel Evans
also just a general reminder
sometimes you have to realize unrealized losses and just eat the fuck up
do you have an email or a discord or something. id rather do a q and a kinda thing where I can instantly respond
ill drop you an email
Ryder Sanchez
redpill me on BAT and also post your portfolio screenshot in this ITT thread so we know you're not larping
Jackson Roberts
It seems like after investing years of your youth to learning about this market it would be hard to give up on the thrill of discovering some groundbreaking new technology known about by few people and understood by even fewer and profiting massively off of it. Why are you exiting the crypto trading game? How do you define your direction in life now that you're mostly finished with this world (or are you?).
2 btc Yeah I’m not rich yet, can’t give you advice. If you’re feeling generous, send and knowledge bombs to my discord dororo#0757
Grayson Morris
I have an email but I don't think it would be much faster than just replying here on biz
Dylan Sanchez
I can't redpill you on something I am not invested in
All my coins are on a hardware wallet and I don't keep my eyes on their current trading price as it is better for my mental health
James Rodriguez
post your etherscan address then faggot
Andrew Stewart
mental health reasons really. Devoting my late teens and early 20s to become rich has really fucked me up relationship wise and I need to focus on the real world now and actually enjoy my success. I will never be fully out of the space and I will continue to research potential projects but hopefully nowhere as much as I have previously
William James
this thread will die eventually, bit I can keep teaching you a few things here and there when I think about it.
added you
James Brown
Fair enough
>I don't keep my eyes on their current trading price as it is better for my mental health
Good idea, I'm new to this and I can't stop watching it even if it's generally pointless when there hasn't been any news or announcements
Tyler Turner
Hope you enjoy your newfound freedom user! I've devoted my entire 20s to studying, working and investing so far. I feel pretty damn tired but if I can make it it would all have been worth it
Cooper Williams
you'll get used to it. Sure there will be daily bumps in price or little down trends and that can be super stressful when you have some real money riding on it. If you believe in the project then you should really just let it do its thing and check in once a week, not once an hour
Jaxson Murphy
Good point, you can add me on discord skylar#1540
Henry Carter
done
Justin Thomas
I would try to conserve your energy while working for someone else, as in take it easy at work so you can code on personal projects. Making them an extra $ won’t do you any good
Julian White
Makes abundant sense. I'm sure many of us who are addicted to this feel at least somewhat similarly. The tension between devoting the majority of your mental energies to speculating on entirely virtual, heavily futuristic assets and taking care of your relationships, or rectifying the absence thereof, can be tremendous.
Luis Ross
I tried to build my own business with another dev in the past, it's a ton of work and very tiring, and honestly I'm not passionate about programming so creating a business mostly for the business is really tough. I prefer working hard to maximize my income and invest it, we'll see if it pays off but I think now is a good opportunity to buy crypto so I want to take advantage of it
Oliver Davis
Also, how appropriate of you to make this thread on Valentines Day. Kek. Here's to virtual social reality.
Michael Bennett
>creating a business mostly for the business
I meant mostly for the money
Aiden Lewis
its poetic, isn't it?
Isaiah Bennett
You may get a 100x somewhere if you’re both smart and lucky. But you’ll need to start with a high btc amount in a relative shitcoin to get those gains.
Whereas every 1$ profit in a tech startup translates to $10 increase in your net worth. Yes it is tiring and you have to be ready to fail. Still worth it imo. To each his own.
Nolan Edwards
Is link a meme? Or is 'link is a meme' is a meme? Or is "link is a meme' is a meme" is a meme?
Joshua Gonzalez
I may get back into the startup game depending on how things go but I honestly think investing in crypto now is a rare opportunity to make some life changing money by 2023-ish. We'll see I guess, I think I definitely want to get back to building my own business at some point, not passionate about programming but I love tech
Noah Evans
LINK has just as much as a chance of succeeding as anything else, hell i'd even say it has more than an average chance.
Anthony Williams
would you do this with xlm now?
Elijah Stewart
im not going to tell you what to do, but definitely consider it
Kevin Cox
>Jow Forums has made me a ridiculous amount of money which has set my up financially for at least the next ~5 years if I am not retarded with it.
5 years of savings is not a "ridiculous amount of money". How much are you worth?
Joshua Wright
Is it safe to hold on the majors like XRP and ETH for the future or they will be replaced for better products?
Julian Rivera
approx 8mil
Dominic Wood
for the short term eth is fine
Michael Rogers
>Spends 2.5x the average life income of an american household in 5 years Do you eat gold flake black caviar on truffells for breakfest
Liam Lee
Is it possible to escape poverty by investing small amounts of money(~$100) into cheap coins and then waiting for them to bubble then cash out? Also do you have any resources on how to get started investing in crypto without the government knowing
Isaac Gray
5 years was a very very conservative estimate
Isaiah Hill
yes, but its too long to type out here.
Whats your disc?
Gavin Hill
How do you deal with emotions on large drawdowns like going from 8mil back to 4mil. Also how do you manage risk?
David Davis
Got any recommendations as to where one could learn TA?
I'm interested in learning the fundamentals/basics.
Hunter Richardson
most of my worth is no longer in crypto
I keep it in jewish banks, gold, index funds and property and a bunch of long term, stable investments
Noah Flores
sure, whats your email/disc ill run you through some things then point you in the right direction
Chase Campbell
Hi swissbro
I thought you were liquidated already
Dominic Ward
im not swissbro
Elijah Nelson
You might as well use a tripcode, you dumb faggot.
Hudson Watson
do the needful sir and share wisdom MrOatmeal#5596

Do analyst rating really matter? And by that token, does the math of stocks really matter?
Will I manage to get enough money to live my dream?
Andrew Scott
Actually, fuck that, just get to me through discord

Xavier Smith
crypto is volatile as hell, trust no ones research and predictions except your own
Hudson Hernandez

Michael Howard
What is your opinion on investing in ultra-low cap projects with good business fundamentals like DADI? The downward risk seems to be lower than for higher-cap projects but on the other hand they have extremely low visibility in the markets and might just be ignored in favor of new hype/pnd projects like LTO,BTT,.. I
Ethan Mitchell
its where you can make the most money, but its also the highest chance of never reaching the buyers eye, so your investment can sit idle for months and months with little to no return
Joseph Ross
Oh man, me too please. I'm a complete beginner. I would really appreciate some pointers. Thanks user.
what's your realistic expectation. Do you have large spending habits or are you worried about inflation?
Nolan Powell
user? ;-;

I need to buy my principal place of residence but other than that I should be fine unless hyper inflation rapes me, but I am diversified so even then I should be comfy
Brody Long
this is the same user as the OP, just changed wifis

How do I get a gf?
Jason Brooks
Add me please Sataman#5321
Jaxon Diaz
OP, could you also send me your notes? I began in mid Dec 2017, 15k in the red.
It would mean very much to me. My mail is [email protected] . Hope I'm gonna make it like you do, one day.
Joshua Kelly
I'll take whatever info you got for trading and general investment advice. If you got good advanced or noob tax structuring that would be useful as well
