I'm at 832 I also have only one credit card and it has a $350k credit line. I've never used more than like $20k at a time.

I laugh at all the silly good goys every time this thread pops up

>imagine being american and being forced to have a good goy score
You poor bastards.

How do banks decide how much they can lend to you? How well you’re dressed?

Serious question. I’m actually kind of curious.

Collateral and salary.
>also needing banks to lend you shit in the first place
You are not going to make it.

Good, who gives a fuck about that. We will be rich within 5 years. Remember user, less than 1% of the adult world is in Crypto. Don't worry.

Your income and credit history what else?

A long history of loan repayment is not factored in? So if you’re a rich doctor with a nice house who keeps blowing his savings at the casino and getting behind on payments, banks don’t have a way to see this sort of reckless behavior?

What’s your excuse for this capital inefficiency?

I took out a huge personal loan to buy crypto in early 2018. It dropped my score but not by a huge amount.

I try to get my score as low as possible because it makes (((them))) angry

It makes you look untrustworthy and unreliable.

817. 50k. 30.

Serious question: is there anyway to leverage a high score? What can I do with it if I don't need loans or anything?

what is good credit for?
obviously more available credit house/car loans. is that it?

Used to be 795 but went down because I paid for my rent using my credit card a couple times and had too high a balance.

$105,000

Age 30

How long have you been making 105? I'm also 30 making half of what you make. I always wonder if my lifestyle would change at all if I made more money. I got pretty lucky and have no real living expenses, only work 8 months, and don't have to check my bank account before making any purchases.

What am I missing out on?

I'm 30 and make $150k, averaging $135k since I was 26. You're missing nothing. Except more money going towards retirement or investments.

Same poster, just went off mobile.

Been 80,000+ for 4 years, this last year was $105,000

Same old shit, just different problems. I don't know what lambo money is like, but I would imagine it is all the same. I'd say the more I make the more comfortable I have been in terms of stability and the occasional new toy or trip.

I've been trying hard not to incur new expenses that match my new wealth. Always have extra left over that goes to house payment and student loans which I was somewhat ok with when it counted towards tax, but the last 3 years it has not. Also with new tax deduction I see no point in a mortgage, so I will eliminate those two debts in the next 2 years.

I currently work 80 days a year, so looking for another type of employment. I have 2 side gigs but that nets $3000 a year combined.

Thanks for the insight. Enjoy your eventual cushy retirement.

Like this guy said and I forgot to mention in I would say more is going to retirement products. I don't put a ton into retirement, but rather diversify. Ten percent of my wage is skimmed off the top for a mandatory pension, I put a few hundred into a 457 account and a few hundred into an annuity. I have a dusty 401k that been sitting for ages. I keep meaning to roll it into an IRA but I am just waiting for another job that allows me to open a 401k up and to roll it over into that. Also property. Day to day expenses between when I made $50,000 and $100,000+ has mainly stayed the same.

What's your profession? 80k for 80 days is my dream. I work 180 days (high school teacher), and I'm trying to figure out how to work less.

Fire Department.

Do you live in a city with a high cost of living? I'm near Detroit so my 50k stretches a long way. I would feel rich making 80.

Lol literally glowniggers accumulating biodata for ip tagging. RIP retards.

Next time you LARP, try to make it believable

Rural mountain town 1.5 hours from a major metropolitan on the coast. I can be on a plane going international in 2 hours, but my 2 bedroom cost $120,000 4 years ago. Although shit has picked up steam here, I had a cash offer for $190,000 last summer, so it probably won't be cheap for long. Fucking retirees are moving out of the city into my rural community.

Thanks all. Good luck out there.

You can look at summer gigs as a wildland firefighter. I know of lots of teachers that do that. They work for the feds if they want to actually be good at what they do. They go private out of oregon, montana, idaho, washington if they want to just get some cash and get drunk and dip. Those guys making $200-1000 a day depending on their qualifications.

I did some contract work for the state and ultimately feds. Was making $1000 a day. If all goes according to plan, next year I won't take any vacation and will do contract work in addition to my salaried job. It should be a $200,000+ year. I have some life plans that require funding so it'll be a busy year.

Also as an FYI, out west public jobs pay double if not triple what they do on the east coast. Police/Fire are more competitive and if you don't have a college degree you better come with military experience of years of volunteer, private pay academies, certifications. Someone in your position with a background in teaching would do well. There is an educational component to public service as you climb the ranks. I work with a training department captain who had a teaching certificate as well as being a firefighter. He is salaried at $130,000, but makes all his money doing private courses and traveling the country and world. Dude runs a side gig with his wife who does all the scheduling and accounting that brings in $300,000 a year.

I was out there this summer with a friend. We half heartedly talked about volunteering during the fires in August. I'll have to look into a summer stint. What type of qualifications do the state/feds look for? Like online training, or something more serious/time consuming?

I don't know if they start fresh or if they require certification prior. I know for hotshots and smoke jumpers they require years of service and qualifications prior to application.

Other fed jobs I wouldn't know. I work municipal structural but we have an urban/wildland interface and get rudimentary wildland certifications as we are rural. I have other qualifications I contract with unrelated.

I know the privates will take you with no experience. I know most of the guys go private first and then go fed. Its worth looking into.

What bootleg score system is this? Aint Credit Karma dat's fasho

I was thinking of suing my CC to buy silver then immediately sell it and use the cash to pay it off. Will that bump it back up?

That's totally pointless. Read the tips on the CK website. Buy a few small things with your credit card each month. And then set up automatic payments to have it paid off at the start of the next billing cycle.

Honestly I just kept asking for enormous increases over time. Usually they’d give me like half of my ask, which would be anywhere from a 20-30k bump when my limit was lower to asking for like 100k+ increases later on. My largest single increase was 62500. You can ask usually every couple of months or so and I never got turned down once. The first one I think I asked for a $10k limit and they didn’t even do it, gave me $8k. On my next I asked for like $20k and I got maybe 14k, then I asked for $20k again and I got $20k. After that my next ask was $50k and they gave me $40k and I realized just ask for larger amounts so I kept upping it. Apparently there is no actual limit to what they will give you which is nuts.
