Gambling

What's your biggest prize you won in a casino, at the bookmaker or Lotto?
What's your biggest losing streak?
How much money per month do you spend on such activities?

Won about $1800 in a poker tournament on my 18th birthday. Paid for my first semester of community college. Dropped out 6 weeks later.

I'd like to know the story of this if not larp. Personally I only gambled BTC and lost $300 because it was my first time, lost half the money and tried to recover it. I was successful and recovered 20% before I got greedy and lost even more, was down to just $5 at the end lol

>lotto, ~350€
>got into cryto autumn 2017
>~100€/month

I won $25000 in a scratchoff ticket in 2007 while visiting family in Florida. Since I was from out of state I had to pay taxes on it for Florida, Ohio and federal. I think I actually took home about 12k after all those taxes. Over my life span I've probably played about 1k on lottery so I think I'm ahead.
I won $2400 on a slot machine once but I'm probably down a few thousand over the years at playing. definitely on a losing streak there but haven't been to a casino since last summer.

Oh lifes comfy now, that was 13 years ago. Shortly after I moved across the country and continued working. I'm in logistics and make $58K+bonuses, and am finishing up an A.S. in business admin. When I previously dropped out I had no direction and was going for liberal arts; it was the right move.

US laws are retarded. Couldn't you skip on these taxes somehow?
Why would they tell you a prize sum before taxes anyway?

When you cash it in over a certain amount (something smallish like twelve hundred dollars) they don't pay you right away they mail a check and automatically take out taxes right there and they give you your 1099 tax form with the check so they automatically report it and if you don't claim it, you automatically will be flagged. It sucks.

i ran a casino. Around 2 million €

Jesus Christ. It's like you guys are stuck in the 20th century.

I won 4500 dollars 5 months ago gambling crypto.
Have lived off it since with work being sparse this time of year.
Now I'm at my last 400 with work lined up but not till next month.
Looking for a haiiiiil Mary now...

$500 on a fucking pull tab at a bar. Couldn’t believe it. Odds are extremely low

>i turned $1.5k into $7k playing roulette through an online bitcoin casino
>lost half from there and cashed out with $3.5k, so still a $2k gain
>getting my money out was really sketchy and deterred me from ever doing it again

I'm an online casino affiliate so I end up playing quite a bit as well. I just looked up the history at my favourite site and I'm down about $5k over the last 3 years...thought I was ahead. :) I have a list of all the casinos that will give you free money to try them out if anyone's interested...

No
We are not that stupid

Lost $200 twice. Left after. Once took 30 minutes the other took 6.

I'm glad. Fortunately for me there are a lot of stupid people out there.
