Jow Forums boy here. I’ve noticed a lot of Yang Gang thread on my board with UBI being a big reason why a lot of anons are supporting it. I like the idea of getting rid of the welfare system (because I believe that people being coddled will lead them to not actually succeed in life) and I am also wary of how it could possibly affect market prices. I am also wary of how it is similar to communism and socialism, but people respond by saying that UBI doesn’t take people’s land by force so it can’t be communism. I’d like to know more about this and the debate surrounding it, so I’d like to know what you anons think about it.

Not a regular here or Jow Forums but without the government controlling or seizing the means of production or attempting to create a classless social order it’s not socialism/communism. I like Yang though. He’s a capitalist, but he’s keen on fixing broken parts of the system. If Jow Forums is on board it makes me kind of happy seeing as they memed trump into the White House.
You should check Yang’s website. He has a really helpful FAQ. It certainly answered my questions clearly and concisely.

UBI is just another failed attempt by the liberal elite to find a new way to keep society from falling to shit after refusing to admit they screwed the pooch by destroying the traditional single-earner family structure in their pursuit of ruling the world.
UBI becomes communism as soon as they realize no, most people aren't going to go work for the personal fulfillment of it if they're getting UBI, and they'll need a government entity to mandate labor.

I’m conservative and in support of capitalism, but what I’m afraid of is that Yang has the same mindset as neocons who willingly c u c k themselves for big businesses. That’s why I was a little hesitant when I heard that Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk we’re in support of UBI.
I said I liked the idea of it. I’m generally unsure what to think of UBI. Plus you have far left groups like Black Lives Matter in support of UBI because they believe that it will be equivalent to “reparations.”
